Would you rather a battle pass where you get access to all the same weapons, gadgets, and maps for free? Or go back to DLC packs where the players are split into those who have the maps and those who don’t on top of not having access to the newer guns? I know BP’s aren’t perfect but they are leagues ahead of what came before imo.
@@mekhijw15 I’d absolutely rather have Premium and paid DLCs. Battle pass content is a fraction of what was in paid DLCs, while nickel and diming and/or time limiting unlocks. If I purchased everything in a battlepass, skins, etc. it would cost hundreds of dollars. And “splitting the player base” is a minimal issue. Every DLC from BF3 to BF1 I got for FREE during limited time events. I had to wait several months, but I’m able to unlock everything in the games I wanted from purely gameplay. With Premium, EA was legally obligated to deliver 4 or 5 big DLC packs with multiple maps & weapons each, instead of just drip feeding a few thingies with MTX ads plaguing the menu screen. Right this moment, DLC maps are in regular rotation in BF3, BF4, and BF1 and practically everyone has the DLC maps. Probably mostly from game store sales for $10 at 80% off. I’ve never believed the “it’ll split the playerbase and kill the game fast” and history has proven that right.
@@ponraul1221 I definitely never said it killed any battlefield game, but it definitely split the playerbase. I know that on BF1 if you have a friend that has the DLC’s then you can play on the maps but there definitely were OP DLC weapons that I had no access to. As far as BF4, I remember the DLC’s being released for free and that was great but Bf3 was absolutely the worst as far as DLC. I’m not sure if PC players had to pay but back in the day when I was on strictly console, you had to pay for the online pass just to access the multiplayer and that was absolutely horrid. I think the handling of the battlepass on 2042 was horrible but having access to all the guns and maps was awesome. Maybe my experience was different because 2042 was entirely free for me from top to bottom. But if I can earn the new weapons, I find it much more satisfying than paying for them. I DEFINITELY respect your view on the subject as far as the amount of content that comes with DLC packs as opposed to battle passes though. I just think 2042 is not the greatest example of how a well done bp can be.
@@mekhijw15 It split the player base for several months at most because there would be a huge sale on digital stores where premium would end up being sold for $9.99. That's how all my friends got them, but if you paid attention with BF news, EA would release each DLC for FREE for like a week once a year for the first few years around summer. That's how I got all my DLCs, and I've never paid for Premium pass. Even if you did and waited the several months for a sale, $9.99 ended up giving you 15-20 maps and 2 or 3 dozen weapons. *$9.99 now is less than some skins in BFV or 2042.* The online pass you're talking about was that weird era in the early 2010s where you had to pay to access multiplayer if you bought a secondhand disc. But online pass was free and had a code in the game box; they eventual gave the pass for free. Pretty much all multiplayer games on console was like that. Either way my main point was that though yes the player base was split for at least several months, if you really wanted to play BF with the DLC you just had to wait for the $9.99 Premium pass sale (which happened by the next spring or summer) or the week each DLC was released for free by EA. In the end pretty much every regular BF player ended up with the DLC, and it's why DLC maps since BF3 have always been in regular rotation to this day. If the player base was truly split for very long, those DLC servers probably would have gone extinct a couple years after each game released. As for BP I have seen ZERO games where they provide nearly the value we used to get with paid DLCs and season passes. If BP provided better value, these greedy companies wouldn't have all switched to the BP model. They do it because they can sell skins that cost the same as entire DLC packs and their in-game currency. The only game I've seen with good free updates was GTA Online, but the grind for those made it basically impossible for anyone with a life to unlock big stuff without buying in-game currency. Also, you didn't get the weapons immediately once you got the DLC, you still had to earn them by playing.
No ! 2027-2030 is not modern it's near future(istic) . There won't be crazy change but things will still be substantially more advanced. It's not even 2025 yet and we know that's a year with even more advancement. BF4 had this problem where it aimed for modern in the context of 2013-2017 while set in 2020 but in the end ,irl turned out with a little more advances and difference. Everyone hate bf2042 but it wasn't really futuristic matched it's time- 2040s to 2050s . The game should be set in the late 2010s or early 2020s . Also for those angry it's not China and Russia etc in the game they don't want to be targeted as the bad guy in some western military propaganda game . I believe they should have Russia and China as the protagonist getting rid of western hegemony. We've had countless times the US led west being the good guys and winning. It's exhausting and doing this lines up with reality in the future.
@@totalguardian1436 2020 irl was a little different and more advanced than 2020 in BF4 . Not crazy but still notable. Dice shouldn't try to aim for today standards modern when using a date years in the future ie BF4 release 2013 and set in 2020
BF veteran needs to interfere her about : no maps on USA soil...there was...Battlefield 2 almighty had everything...Expansion pack called Armored Fury ''The pack features the USMC defending U.S. soil from invasions from the PLA and MEC''
I so done with BR and the microtransaction hellscape it brought with it...games infected with flashy "skins" and not actual content that helps the game.
Battle Royale is a HARD pass for me, and most everything else comes as a mixed bag. Regardless of how controversial an opinion there IS stuff 2042 did right or that was nice enough that it should be brought forward, even if only as an option for people to opt into
Battlefield 2: Armored Fury Armored Fury is another paid "booster pack" for Battlefield 2, which for the first time will transfer users of the program to the United States. Electronic Arts and Digital Illusions made a tribute to their fans in this way. This extension consists of three new maps. The first one (Operation Midnight Sun) takes us to Alaska, where the Chinese army are trying to secure an oil supply. Battle for Port Valdez is crucial for the territory and largely decides on further enemy moves. The second map (Operation Harvest) tells the story of the march of the MEC troops to the capital of the United States. American forces have to stop the moving enemy and maintain a foothold until the reinforcements arrive. The third and the final scenario (Operation Road Rage) is focused on combat deep into the country. The MEC uses the highway to transport its soldiers to key factories. Defenders focus on stopping the enemy, and thus protecting civilian population centers located nearby.
Nothing will convince me to pre order this. So far it sounds like they’re paying attention to the surveys they send out and content creators. BF1 was a masterpiece and 5 got great then dumped but since BF4 I just wanted BF4 DLC with better graphics.
With all due respect Ghost, if Premium returned, you along with all those who want it back would then complain how the maps and weapons are paywalled. You would ask why the new maps are dead after 3-6 months. Well because nobody wants to pay $30-$40 for which the premium of old costed. You would also ask why you need to pay real money to get guns that do damage. And knowing EA, they would increase the price of premium since the new BF will cost $70. Sure was there more content under Premium, yes but again it was all paywalled
I loved it when u heard the enemy team speaking in their own language. Like hearing the MEC or the Chinese in bf2. Not this Russian accent shit speaking English.
I really hope real world biased politics will not make it into the game but I highly doubt it, If this is correct it seems Russia will not be a part of the game. I hope I'll be wrong.

Honestly I don't give a damn about the amount of guns at release, I don't care about the name, I don't even care about specialists at this point. I just want the game to work at release and work 3 years after launch. Squad system is still fucked. Black screens and not pulling party members into servers. No form of any kind of map rotation. I could go on and on. They failed in every aspect in 2042 and I hope the get their shit together.

There is literally ZERO percent chance they're going to have 4 maps every season... It's taking them years to launch with 10 maps and you want them to add nearly half of that every 3 months?! Do you have any idea at all whatsoever how development of video games work?
I'd rather have 10 solid maps that play well than 16 flat maps that play like 2042. Time will tell, if this game launches in a better state it'll mean that dev time isn't being soaked up to make the game playable and will mean that they can focus on content.

I’m so excited! To hear we are getting a Battle Royale f2p at the end of the day those big content creators from warzone can come over and bring a way bigger fan base more then a lot of battlefield content creators and Battlefield will have a very large viewership it’s about numbers…
I HATE BATTLEPASS. There should zero limited time items.
*$9.99 now is less than some skins in BFV or 2042.*
The online pass you're talking about was that weird era in the early 2010s where you had to pay to access multiplayer if you bought a secondhand disc.
Also, you didn't get the weapons immediately once you got the DLC, you still had to earn them by playing.
dlcs for the multiplayer and season pass for battle royale maybe lol?
@@patricofritz4094 Battlefield 4 felt like that cuz it was set in 2020
@@totalguardian1436 2020 irl was a little different and more advanced than 2020 in BF4 . Not crazy but still notable. Dice shouldn't try to aim for today standards modern when using a date years in the future ie BF4 release 2013 and set in 2020
We need at least 2 night maps. Or imagine a map that has fog roll over.
its like this in bf1, some maps have weather effects like fog and the tod changes a bit
HOWDY GHOST!
FIRESTORM! we wants it.
I hope they dont forget about full weapon costumizationn please mension that 🙏🏼
BF veteran needs to interfere her about : no maps on USA soil...there was...Battlefield 2 almighty had everything...Expansion pack called Armored Fury
''The pack features the USMC defending U.S. soil from invasions from the PLA and MEC''
Imagine getting Battlefield 6 and GTA 6 around the same time
that would be crazy ngl
Nooooo they are doing a call of duty and turning the Russian faction into a private military faction, it’s always fun versing the Ruski team
Are people not tired of BR?
I so done with BR and the microtransaction hellscape it brought with it...games infected with flashy "skins" and not actual content that helps the game.
Battle Royale is a HARD pass for me, and most everything else comes as a mixed bag. Regardless of how controversial an opinion there IS stuff 2042 did right or that was nice enough that it should be brought forward, even if only as an option for people to opt into
Honestly the factions sound stupid, I want NATO/western allies vs china, Russia, North Korea etc.
Bring back 40x scopes!
4:40 Battlefield 2 had
Battlefield 2: Armored Fury
Armored Fury is another paid "booster pack" for Battlefield 2, which for the first time will transfer users of the program to the United States.
IMO the name should just be battlefield that is it :)!
Calm down cat
I hope they don't call it Battlefield, but if they do i'll just call it Battlefield '25. Or perhaps 26?
Maps should NEVER be behind a paywall.
I loved it when u heard the enemy team speaking in their own language. Like hearing the MEC or the Chinese in bf2. Not this Russian accent shit speaking English.
I really hope real world biased politics will not make it into the game but I highly doubt it,
If this is correct it seems Russia will not be a part of the game.
I hope I'll be wrong.
Definitely not excited for it after the last crap. But a little hope that they can produce a good game.
@ghostgaming were u a big fan of bf1 sir?
Sounds like you haven’t played 2042 lately
Features that needed in my thoughts:
-Dismemberment (Default) can be turn off under graphic setting.

-Blackmarket which able to bought any items are display such as (weapons, skins, and soldier cosmetics etc) with in-game currency that you earned while playing.

Nah
Half of this has to be rage bait. No way in hell someone can be serious about some of this
I aint readin allat
I hope they don't pick "Battlefield" as the name, it's too final
Honestly I don't give a damn about the amount of guns at release, I don't care about the name, I don't even care about specialists at this point. I just want the game to work at release and work 3 years after launch. Squad system is still fucked. Black screens and not pulling party members into servers. No form of any kind of map rotation. I could go on and on. They failed in every aspect in 2042 and I hope the get their shit together.
Oh yes, give them extra money for content for less content than, back in 2011 and 2013, would be only an extra 20 euros in the premium edition
Me neither ever like a Battle Royale. Its just not my type.
I hate the fact BF1 was as popular as it was. It was trash. So many BF UA-camrs stopped committing to BF soon after it dropped. What a complete buzz kill after dropping 2500 hours in BF3 and 4. 😢
There is literally ZERO percent chance they're going to have 4 maps every season... It's taking them years to launch with 10 maps and you want them to add nearly half of that every 3 months?!
Do you have any idea at all whatsoever how development of video games work?
You haven’t played the older battlefields have you
I'd rather have 10 solid maps that play well than 16 flat maps that play like 2042.
Time will tell, if this game launches in a better state it'll mean that dev time isn't being soaked up to make the game playable and will mean that they can focus on content.
@@nomadgamingyt484 again, the bf3, bf4 and bf1 would launch with 9-10 maps then each season( back then premium ) would come with 2-3 maps, and these weren’t shit maps they were all good
@@primemachine146 I'm 36. I've played them all. Those BFs had PAID map packs that in some cases released 6 months apart. Not free seasons that release every 3 months. I DESPERATELY wish we could go back to paid map packs, but that's just not in the cards.
Ditch any battle royal garbage and put all assets and resources into a good Battlefield with plenty of updates
50v50?
No cross play with PC. PS, Xbox, and switch please dice!
nah cross play keeps a game alive
2042 barely had a story lol and killed off Pac for nothing! And if anything where the hell was Recker?! They could have turned the situation with Pac into a search and rescue but threw all of those opportunities away!
I have zero faith in EA and DICE to deliver a BF game. They already messed up with NATO vs PMC, BR mode that nobody wants and I'm sure they'll find many other ways to ruin the legacy of this franchise further. EA DICE and BF are a joke
actually really tired of this whole "mercs are the bad guys" schtick, cod has played it out to death and the way 2042 handled mercs was just stupid, not only are they done to death but that ain't even how pmc's work.
A BR mode has already been tested twice and failed twice. NO BR ! It has no place in Battlefield
@@CapStar362 Hazard Zone is not a br
@@totalguardian1436 sure played like one, it was still a failure.
@@CapStar362no it didn’t lol it played like an off brand extract shooter
13:13 that's a cute moment 😂
PMC ??? It better be a mix of Russian , Chinese vehicles and if PMC is just using older NATO vehicles then it’s so gay, I want to see T-90s,BMPs vs Abrams , Leopards , Bradley’s not Abrams vs Future Abrams . That’s dumb and I bet that’s what they are doing.
DONT PRE ORDER
The COD-ification of battlefield is a disgrace.
First (criminally early)
If you could pick up a guy over your shoulder to bring him into cover then maybe the guy could fire his side arm while you run for your lives 😂
Meh, franchise has been in the shitter since BF4. Zero reason to think there will be any real change
Why do they want to push BR so bad, its annoying
Judging it against 2042 is kind of invalid.
Dont pre order
Your cat sounds like a sheep lol
Hope they don't bring Battle Royal. That shit is just bad.
Paid premium or gtfo
I don't know what type of black magic they used for bf1 atmosphere, but if they can bring that back, it is going to be amazing
