    Thank you. Even this video is 2 years old I didn't know this can be done more easier. I was doing on watch instead of Garmin Explore. Thank you a lot.

      Hello, Could you share when you think using Garmin Explore is easier than using garmin Connect (that also calculate a course you can then push to the watch)? thanks :)

    Thanks for the video! I’m not familiar with the previous versions of this app, but the current version does allow course creation (on the app itself) that includes snapping and dragging along specific roads or paths. Then you just sync it to your device. There is even a simple (but effective) tutorial included on the app. Worked really well for me in laying out a weekend hike to upload to my Fenix.

    What an informative, well laid out video this is. I am still figuring out my Fenix 6S which is proving to be smarter than me so I tried your tactic explained in this video today to guide me to my local Home Depot. It was really nifty. One thing that is eluding me is this: I record an activity on my Fenix then how on earth do I sync it to Garmin Explore as an activity? I've found nothing that explains this.

      Hi Lisa. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think we can sync an activity to garmin explore.
      Garmin explore is here as a map tool extension.
      You can sync POIs and itinerary from explore to watch.
      However you can sync your activity to garmin connect.

      @@HowToPM Thank you for confirming this. I notice that I can sync the logs from my InReach Mini 2 into the Garmin Explore app and they show as activities in Explore. But they don't last long on the InReach so I'll be more prudent to do it more often. I watched part of your video about the Fenix 6 and how to use it and the video is SO good. I will finish watching it later but in the time I did watch I learned so much. You do a great job in these videos.

    Thank you for your videos, I have question please, I have a fenix 6s why the map isn't clear (it's a white page) there are no itineraries no green places or blue places there are nothing?

      You must have purchase a watch that was not originally sold on your continent.
      You can purchase the map from garmin to update your watch here : fave.co/3l6cA40
      Note that maps are now free from the fenix 7 series.
      Unfortunately, you need to buy the map for your fenix 6.

    In addition. Is it correct you can not create a 'snap to road' route using the ios app ?

    • @HowToPM
      @HowToPM  2 роки тому

      Snap to road is only available on garmin connect or directly in the watch.

    I notice that you are actually using your phone to show the map. That's my experience too and it's why this watch sucks. I am a recent Fenix 7x Sapphire/solar owner and man, 2005 level tech. So, you say you like it because you don't need your phone but the truth is that you need a computer to download the maps to the watch (no active satellite updates based on location like an Apple Watch) and you need a PHONE (usually Apple for most of us) to make plans and see what you are doing because the watch is an unreadable lagfest. I've never been so full of regret on a tech purchase before. Your video is good but I'm seeing why most of the videos giving a crap about this watch came out before the Apple Watch Ultra.

    • @HowToPM
      @HowToPM  Рік тому +1

      Wow... Learn a bit more about your watch. You really don't need a phone to use your watch. About the maps, you can get it over Wi-Fi without any other device.
      Then everything is stored inside the watch.
      A phone might help you to accelerate an itinerary creation but you never need it.
      I can assure you that I would never change my Fenix for any Apple watch for my type of use.

    My usual worries are will I get erectile dysfunction

    • @HowToPM
      @HowToPM  Рік тому

      If you want to worry about that, I would mostly worry about the place where you live.
      There is wireless signal everywhere.
      Wi-Fi, LTE, radio, television, airlines, microwave, bluetooth... It's just everywhere.
      The watch itself is only a little bluetooth antenna that is not that strong.
      If you worry about the GPS, know that it's unidirectional.
      The watch only receiving the signal from the satellite that you are already expose with or without a GPS device on you anyway.
