  • The Milwaukee m18 battery powered framing nail gun is finally HERE. What felt like forever...because it was... and no I am not talking about the time since the last Toolsday, the wait for the Milwaukee framing nail gun is finally over. How will it compare or hold up over time compared to it's competition? No one knows yet, but one thing is for sure, it feels good throwing two clips of nails in at one.
Let me know down below in the comments if you will be buying this nailer or if you have been waiting since last years announcement to own this nail gun!
Buy it here at ACME Tools...good people, good store...affiliate link, so it helps me a little as well.

It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.

I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.

Hey Kyle thanks for the review! Looks like a sweet nailer. I’d be interested to see you shoot that same piece of oak with the 21 degree nailer when it comes out with 3-1/2” ringshanks that are a little thicker than those paslode nails. I’m just wondering if that was a power issue or that those passloads bend to easily absorbing some of the force. It would also be cool if you could confirm that we can change the 30 degree over to 21. Cause if it’s able to, I’ll order the 30 now and just pick up the 21 extension when it becomes available. I’m sure many others would do the same. Thanks again for your reviews, I always look for your opinion on a major tool purchase before I take the plunge. This one looks like a winner.

Just FYI, you can adapt the 21 degree magazine to the 30 degree nailer. It takes a just little filing on the 21 degree magazine, but once you’ve done that it’s easy to switch back and forth to use different nails. The screw holes line up perfectly. I think there are videos on how to do it. I used my Dremel and it took about 15 minutes. A question: have you tried to use the Milwaukee framing nailer on joist hangers?

I like the tip guard. Good for when I'm doing fencing, pergolas etc. I don't do enough of it to justify a dedicated siding gun. But when I do get into that stuff occasionally, I'm usually working with soft cedar and the claws leave some pretty nasty marks. Bostich makes those for their air guns and I keep a few around just for that kind of work.

Talking about Milwaukee nail guns. I know it’s a different gun. I am a DIY guy and I wanted a finish nail gun without the use of a compressor. I was using a Senco 16g nail gun. I bought the Milwaukee 16g nail gun and I just put in all new MDF base boards and casing in my house I would say 1/2 of my 2 inch nails did not sync below the surface of the boards. I was a bit upset. I adjusted the depth gage and I still had problems. I know they redesigned their 18g nailer but I need 16g. Milwaukee needs to redesign their 16g nail guns. My Senco gun did a better job but I gave it away. The gun also has problems holding two clips of nails. I hope Milwaukee reads this review. I called them up and they could had cared less about the problems I was having. Their phone support is just horrible.

So heavy when coming from paslode gas, but love the power, no cartridges, and no huffing CO exhaust all day.

I don't mind the Dewalt. Just make sure you use the Flexvolt batteries & it's good for stick framing. It doesn't do well with laminates like LVL Microlams just can't sink the heads.. I've been using the Hitachi and that works pretty good. Thank you for the new Milwaukee review!

It never fails I'm out of nails LOL.
I guess you have to learn to count your shots ;)
    It looks like a winner.
I very seldom use a framing nailer so I'm still on the pneumatic Hitachi.
    Cheers from Tokyo!

Good on Milwaukee. I don't know why people have a hate on for the dewalt framer. I have 3 and they get used hard daily, driving 3" rings, strapping roofs before metal. They have performed great.

You already have a good nail gun Kyle. The Hikoki nailer. But I guess we are all mostly tool lovers in the trade. I'm a collector myself :)
