The scene in plunder and lightning as Baloo races into Cape Suzette with the SeaDuck in overdrive as his right engine bursts into flames... This music and that moment will go down in history as one of the Pinnacle moments in cartoon history.
This score is truly a masterpiece. Stone did an outstanding job and it really added to the quality of the overall production. Originally composed for the three part episode plunder and lightning, a fantastic movie in itself. You just don't see the same quality or creativity put into today's children's cartoons. I miss the hand drawn animation and actual orchestra background scores. It does take money. Yet the results were timeless artistic treasure's that generations of children could enjoy. Thundercats also had a good score by hoffer. The music Stone was asked to produce was something adventurous, bold, grand, and daring. Reminiscent of the Indiana Jones adventures and art deco of the 20's and 30's. He hit the mark.
This is so awesome I always wondered if there was a master score for this show. Thanks for posting! This composer doesn't seem like he ever did other stuff of this kind. Pretty neat.
Chris Stone is an active composer for Teragram Music!! He will be releasing a new orchestral album for synch licensing in 2021. Also Walker Texas Ranger is getting rebooted, maybe there's a chance he will jump back into the composing chair for CBS again...
@@coreymouth I agree, I was just lucky to find a copy!! Disney's Ducktales is another sought after gem I only have the recently released Soundtrack from Duck Tales The Movie: Treasure Of The Lost Lamp on CD I think it's already out of print!! 👍
@@martymcfly5434 I've got a sealed one. Cost me a fair bit also. It came from Disney studios California. It was a backup for the studio original used for the series incase something happened to it.
@@coreymouth The Tales Spin CD promo only has the score only no songs, not even the theme song since it was a limited test pressing only 50 copies were pressed!! I cherish mine!!👍
@@martymcfly5434 The theme song and all songs were composed by Michael and Patty Silversher; known as Silversher & Silversher in the credits. Stone did all the background music which was the focus of the CD promo.
I always loved that heroic theme 11:46 - 12:02 from Talespin.
Me too! That heroic theme has stuck with me through the years since I watched the show. Still gives me goosebumps. It's adventure in musical form.

I've got vibes of the JAG Tv series theme.

I converted some hard-to-find TaleSpin tracks from YT, but it's great to hear this suite! You've done a fine service.
Does the original Talespin soundtrack have the song or the music for Home is where the heart is?
I'm nearly sure... No, sorry
