It's because the studios used to have their own in house orchestras to compose and perform theme tunes. Sadly they're all now gone and it's just licensed music from some random UA-camr who's made some bland generic electronic or indie song.
Actually; the CD containing this is actually a rare demo CD that was never intended for general release. It was meant as a promotional device for Christopher L. Stone to find work. The fact that he filled it with TaleSpin music instead of Dragon's Lair or Phantasm makes me feel like he has a really high opinion on the show.
He's been working with actual orchestra since he was twelve years old. It's not a rare experience. Unless of course; you are saying that this is a rare experience of him working on an animated series with an actual orchestra.
Thank you so much for uploading this amazing soundtrack! Tale Spin, was my favorite show as a kid. It really transcended the typical After School animation of the time.
An epic, sweeping score? In a kid's cartoon?!?! As a 7-year-old in 1990 I didn't appreciate TaleSpin as much as I do now because fantastic shows like this were all over the TV - and we only had 59 channels on the box! Who'd have thought cartoon quality would go down the drain? Too bad The Disney Channel became a tween network :-/ Let's hear it for atomofish. These tracks are a great find and I hope anyone who watches your uploads will appreciate just how mega-scarce this promo CD really is.
Yeah, I find it sad that Talespin gets so little attention when in comparison to the other DA shows. I really think its one of Disney's best productions. Regardless of whether or not it was on the big screen.
Seriously, this is probably the best music from any Disney cartoon series, and I loved everything Duckatles, Rescue Rangers, and Darkwing Duck came up with as well.
No doubt, and the show is criminally underrated. As we speak I'm going through a TaleSpin binge. I did the same with DuckTales several months ago. Both have fantastic scores and storylines - a quality that's all but dead in today's animated fare.
I can't believe how much of an epic fantasy/sci-fi feel this has to it, for being a kids' show. It sound like something straight out of John William's music for Star Wars!
Thank you so much for uploading this! I never imagined I could hear this and as a kid when this came out, this would have been pure pleasure and playing Talespin with my friends!
If they would make a show like this nowadays, all the planes would be CGI and the music wouldnt be near as epic as this and it would be full of political messages we dont give a shit about, glad i grew up in the 90s!
@lihkan Same, they always played it at the best moments and I loved hearing it. When Baloo first demonstrated the overdrive, to when he saved Kit. My other favorite moment was in "Sheepskin Deep" when Baloo proved to the principal about the kumquats that grew on that snowy mountain. Thanks for posting!
This soundtrack and this show were certainly works of art! Anytime we heard this particular music score 1:07 start to play in an episode, you know s* was getting real!
@lihkan Mine too. The moment this part played in the finale of Plunder and Lightning was also one of the greatest moments of my childhood. "Didn't I learn ya? A navigator wears his hat that way!"
Now that it's confirmed to be crossing over with the new Ducktales series, I hope the theme at 1:08 makes an appearance somehow...they've done it with Darkwing Duck and the Rescue Rangers already, so why not?
@@GregoryWeagle it is? If you're referring to her lullaby tune, that was taken directly from the Ducktales NES Moon Stage theme. If you meant something else, where did you catch it?

@@GregoryWeagle I don't think that's the actual theme...but I agree it is very much in the same vein of Talespin's Romantic theme! Considering that we have had variations of the Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck themes show up, I would think something from Talespin and even the Gummi Bears will show up at one point.

i could agree with you are gen was base on creativity and artistic sense with ainimation but after watching little over two weeks of to days Disney channel with my niece and nephew it's all pure crap we where the tureliy last gen of the heart and soule of the classic Disney
My favorite cartoon when a was kid 😊thanks for upload this music.
Animated TV shows sure don't get this kind of treatment when it comes to the sound track anymore.
I could agree with you even part of the score sounded like metal grinding that is such brilliants at work

I used to watch these cartoons in the 90s when I was 14. I loved them.
I remembered watching the pilot movie back when I was 3 years old. That’s right, back in 2007. :)

Also it's probably helps that Tailspin was one of his rare experiences working with an actual orchestra.

I need this soundtrack! Where can I find it?
It definitely had that John Williams' Star Wars feel to it. That was the point.

You’re welcome 😇
When that shit kicks in at 1:06 Sounds like it belongs in a Captain America movie. My god that's epic
Still blew my mind to see a TV cartoon with music of this quality. Amazing wasn't it?

I always loved that theme from Talespin 1:07 - 1:25.
Right? So badass!
I looked up this score specifically for this part. So iconic and sticks with me even 30 years later.
I wish Disney would release this on Vinyl and CD. With the talespin DVD front box art :(
I can't believe how much of an epic fantasy/sci-fi feel this has to it, for being a kids' show. It sound like something straight out of John William's music for Star Wars!
This song make Talespin P&L uncut [uncut] look like it's on the big screen.
i've been looking everywhere for this i loved this cartoon's ost.
:O Holy bacon! That sounds super cool!

The original show had plenty of socio-political commentary.
1:35 Baloo: Hey, my flying is A+!
Kit: Yeah, but your landings are C-
One word: EPIC!!
1:48 - 2:05 That's just... just... Gold. + Nostalgia overload.

One word to describe the fanfare at 1:07: EPIC!! 😅😅😅😂😂😂😂

that moment when they are in no way out situation and against all odds they make it and then 1:07 starts playing
yes
Baloo ex machina!
@atomofish this was my childhood two. I loved it to watch that series. Here in Germay it runs under the Title "Kaptain Balu & seine tollkühne Crew"
This reminds me a lot of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Considering TaleSpin's time period, that fits.
what an outstanding song! 1:07!!!!!!!
From my childhood i simply love the part from 1:07 to :48 . These days ive got it as Mp3 and i listening to it when playing H.A.W.X.=D
1:07 0:48
Reminds me of John Williams music at 1:07.
Man, every action/flight movie should've had this music!
Wow, we were spoiled!
I'm here because of the war thunder event. Im not disappointed!

Romantic Theme is already being used at times for Della Duck; so, I'm guessing that will be when Kit and the SeaDuck make their debut.

Talk about days when Disney animation was more of a art form
is it just like me or is this more Star Trek, than Star Wars?
