About this video ...
North American flights to Brussels arrive at Gates B, while most flights to the rest of Europe depart from Gates A. Connecting between B and A is simple, this video aims to help visualize it.
The path from B to A will take you through the border checkpoint, and security check, both of which can be bottlenecks depending on time of the day and circumstances. Everything else is very straightforward and easy, especially if one already has a boarding pass for the connecting flight and reasonable time to complete the transfer.
The video shows one such transfer between flight arriving from Washington (IAD) on United Airlines and flight to Prague (PRG) on Brussels Airlines. The entire transfer took approximately 25 minutes including passport control, security check, but there were only very short lines at both points.

Prayers for Brussel!
Thanks. Looks pretty efficient & convenient.
very useful one ,good job done
very useful video ! thank you very much !
very good job, but onfortunately obsolete with the recent inauguration of the new "Connector" shortening the walking distance time with 5 to 10 minutes
+Stephane Gore Thanks. It was originally meant for my daughter and her first transatlantic flight all by herself with a short layover in Brussels with no connector. She made it fine and the video helped, but you are correct, the connector makes it much easier now.
Awesome! Just what I was looking for! Will be flying in January to Stockholm(for some reason in Jan and Feb there are no direct flights with no company) from Prague. Cheers mate🙂
it does not look like this anymore mate
@@Elyshot Damn. So what has changed?
@@OnitsukaTiger1511 at 1:55 in the video you turn to the right for connections rather than going straight through border control and then turning right after. U can see it in this vid ua-cam.com/video/3caKpl0zf8U/v-deo.html
If I am going to africa do I turn left when getting off the plane or do I keep straight
Now we have the connector instead of the underground tunnel! :)
I've been there once during transfer for a flight to Italy. I'm still wondering what is the deal with that car staying inside the terminal (7:14). When I was sitting there and waiting for a flight a group of people appeared around it and they had cheering for someone. I am pretty sure that ia some kind of legalized SCAM involving actors, but I would love to hear from someone who knows more.
this was excellent I am leaving today
Very useful video!! I will be traveling in June and will have a connection in Brussels from B10 to A54 (of course it may change).
How long did it take for you when you exited the plane till you got to your A terminal?
Hi and thanks! It took about 25 minutes then, with my little camera in hand. Of course I could have been lucky, hard to say if this was typical. Things in Brussels have changed since I shot this video, they now have a connector, but I can't say how it affects the connection time. Others might be able to chime in, perhaps you could share your experience here too after your trip? Good luck!
You want have to go through securtity anymore, just a passport control :) not so complicated anymore
I will be flying-in with US passport and with 10 year old son and we will continue further to Finland. Will we still be able to go through only the passport control?
Thank you.
This makes me so nervous. I have an upcoming connection at Brussels to Athens, GR with only 55 minutes. I am only traveling with a carry-on back pack. I hope I can get through efficiently!
You don't have to worry about making your connection, the transfer process for passengers from non-schengen to schengen flights is much more efficient nowadays. See this video of BRU-airport for the impression of the walk after the opening of the 'connector': 'ua-cam.com/video/DIhgm93OSjI/v-deo.html Have a nice trip!
That looks simple enough. I am coming from Canada, isn't there customs I need to go through? Will that take long?
Customs are typically - more or less - routine, meaning most people just walk through and don't even have to stop. 55 minutes should be enough to make the connection. Flights from Canada (and US) often arrive early, especially when the jet stream goes nuts, giving you even more time to make the connection. Plus the arrivals are almost all in the morning, so should you be late and miss your connection, depending on your final destination there will very likely be another flight. Good luck - let us know how it went!
Thank you so much for that information! I have another VERY short connection to catch once I land in Athens so the possibility of being early eases my mind even more. I appreciate you taking the time to provide me with your info!!
You'll make it, no worries, you're more likely to get hurt by your selfie stick :)
