And it’s true. Real GNR fans know how special this song is. So complex. So many tempo changes and amazing lyrics. Of Slash is always so great with these types of songs.
Just to let you know I am from the rock and roll generation I love guns n' roses and this song is absolutely incredible I am 63 and I put it on in my car and the windows are open and I crank the music I have seen guns n' roses a few times here in Chicago at Wrigley Field they give me a feeling inside I miss those days I wish the young people today could spend one whole day back in the seventies and eighties because it was just incredible if you haven't listened to Paradise City please listen to it welcome to the jungle and you could be mine and there's a bunch more but oh before I retired before I I went to work I would blast welcome to the jungle and I felt better before I went into my job
Your first words when it was over, "F7cking masterpiece bro" Thank you! It is right? GnR were an amazing band. Raw, powerful, edgy, blues based. Their first album Appetite for Destruction is one of the greatest rock albums of all times and the track you just oistened to is off a huge double album called Use Your Illusion filled with amazing songs.
Greatest song ever written It has only spent limited time as my fave song, but it has never fallen out of my current top 5's since it was released I cant say that about any other tune so that makes it my number one
fun fact axl rose was big on rap culture so that’s why he constantly looked sharp and cool.around this time he was big on NWA and wanted them to tour with gnr
Bless their hearts I have no idea how they’re all still alive. Seriously slash was so wasted all the time and still managed to shred like an angel. He od’d and died once. he was actually in the room the second time Nikki Sixx died. Duff McKagan pancreas literally exploded once because he was drinking up to 10 bottles of wine a day, Because he thought that was a good idea, while trying to taper off from vodka and cocaine. Izzy was once in a coma and almost got thrown off plane for peeing in an aisle when he couldn’t get to the bathroom. Steven Adler was such a bad junkie, his brother actually kidnapped him to try to get him clean. This was after he was fired from the band. And honestly, we thought the fans were going to murder Axl. I’ve seen them twice at work 😂😂
I remember back when it came out as a middle schooler who loved GNR in the early 90's. There were loads of promos for it and countdown shows for when it was first aired. It was a huge deal in '93 because of how expensive and top tier special effects were for the time. It was back when MTV was decent and mostly played music videos all day.
This song speaks to many, its a masterpiece
It IS a masterpiece. Great reaction!
Favorite GNR song and that says a lot. This band has soooo many good ones.
And it’s true. Real GNR fans know how special this song is. So complex. So many tempo changes and amazing lyrics. Of Slash is always so great with these types of songs.
