So glad Hiya got into the Godzilla game. I've got my fingers crossed for a Minus 1 figure from them at some point.
Probably should wait years for it. I heard from somewhere that license holder doesn't really want multiple brand to compete in the market for a single product. Confusing the market as to which one they should buy at the time. IIRC Hiya wanted to do Showa but since Bandai is doing it rn, Toho basically pull the breaks and said no. I think it was so that consumer could buy both, like you thought only Bandai got it so you bought it, only for Hiya to make their own years later and you bought the Hiya one as well cuz it's better. Kinda marketting ploy to maximize profit, tricking you to buy from both company. The reason why Hiya got greenlit pumping a shitload of MV figures probably cuz Bandai dgaf and everyone already bought the SHM anyway. Ppl who bought the SHM probably buys the Hiya too, so no harm done to Bandai. Whatever Bandai is currently cooking, you know Hiya won't get Toho permission to release their ver for a looong while, until the consumer had bought the Bandai one plus some cooldown period
Good news . Hiya revealed a prototypes Heisei Godzilla at NY toy fair this year! So they are gonna do toho kaiju. So Godzilla minus might be a possibility. They also revealed a whole bunch of other MV figures, so if you want to check out the video they are shown in, just search up Hiya toys Godzilla NY toy fair.
I just want an actually good destroyah figure from some one. The ULTIMATES one kinda looks like a shitty toy

I want that atomic breath more than anything tbh. But the figure on it's own, especially with that delicious blue, would still be better.
It's nice to have another player in the Godzilla figure game. Glad to see Hiya steadily improving and getting products to market. I'm going to skip the Monsterverse line but very much look forward to their newly teased Heisei figures. Really excited to see their take on classic Heisei antagonists like Biollante or King Ghidorah.
Burning GOJI looks good although transluent plastic would've been a BANGER to all the details like the Blueberry Goji. Lucky, Hiya is listening up with releasing the GVK Transluent version early next year.
Sucks man I just bought this one and I know for fact they are going to most likely make the translucent version of this. Oh well I might just get it as well lol
Where do you recommend to preorder the translucent from? BBTS or Entertainment Earth?

The thing with thermo im sure its hard to make since making a light affect like dorsal plates lighting up its always hit or miss but they did the spine amazing contrasting from the main body and the main body is amazing since they didnt make the main body fully red or orange they actually made scales like the leg scales black to make it look more realistic and not a a godzilla drowned in orange paint and makes it look like actual magma with red orange and black instead of just a ugly light yelloish orange. They really did a good job on the paint
I have FINALLY got my 2019 GKOTM Hiya figure and I love it! I do really enjoy how much the SHMA orange has an almost translucent appearance. This figure do look very nice! Hiya has quickly become a new favorite! Ghidorah is soon and I'm excited! I want 2 get 1 so bad
nailing Burning Godzilla's look is hard to do considering the amount of screen time his full body got and how much he had in total
Also I'd take this more explosive look over an accurate version of Thermo G.
Really gives you a sense that he's just teeming with power and energy.
I just opened mine on Christmas and had no idea until watching your vid that his jaw opened lol. Thanks! My affection for this figure just grew 20% maybe

I love the hiya monsterverse figures. These are beyond amazing articulation, sculpt, and paint. I can't wait to see what other titans they make and future godzillas minus 1, godzilla 98, and many more. I'm also hoping will get gamera!
Really glad I picked him up. One of my biggest regrets in life was cancelling my SH Monsterarts KotM Burning Godzilla preorder back in 2020 to save up for my Japan trip (which ended up getting cancelled because of COVID). Four years later, I own a Hiya Burning and going to Japan later in November. I LOVE GODZILLA!😭
hi guys anyone knows the diff of hiya kotm and gvk godzilla?
I skipped out on this guy because I have two Hiya Gojis already. Still not sure about the translucent one yet, it probably just has translucent spines only. I don't know, I have to wait for it to come out I suppose.
Hiya is doing a great job with these figures, I got 2019 and it's excellent and happy they also did a really great job with 2019 burning.
Hiya so far is making the BEST & Most accurate Monsterverse figures
This actually looks like in the movie but, why does shma burning look like a orange skittle.
Hey, Steve. I see that you poke fun at how easily popped out SHM joints are. I got my Gamera Rebirth recently and it's the exact opposite. It's too tight and stuck to the point I might break it, kinda like how most got it with SHM Kong. You got some tip I could try? Or should I just sell it instead?

I got it recently but I say fiddle with the joints a bit, I had no issues outside of needing to position the head/neck in a certain angle when placing gamera's body back into his shell for his flying/regular forms and his right arm kept popping off in the middle so I used a bit of superglue to keep that joint on. Otherwise he's a good figure. If you dislike it, I recommend kyoto gamera which is easier to fiddle with. I got both but kyoto is definitely easier to take part and put back together
Okay, everything positive and awesome about this figure aside, I can’t help but worry that Hiya might be getting lazy with the sculpt of their Godzilla figures. Don’t get me wrong, the sculpts are awesome and more movie accurate than what we’ve seen of posable Monsterverse Godzilla’s so far from other companies, but…..it is getting a little tiresome having the same sculpt used over and over again. I mean couldn’t we have one that his claws flexed outwards? Or in the case of the Burning Godzilla have it that his eyes aren’t completely colored in like the heat ray versio? Especially since in the movie, when Godzilla was in his burning state, you could still see his pupils while his eyes glowed. And from what I’ve seen of reviews for the 2.0 GVK Godzilla, he’s basically KOTM repainted though I did hear he has improved articulation in the neck.
Hiya is on a hot streak right now and I’d hate for them to start getting too lax about it with their Godzillas. When we get the 2014 versions I just hope that the hands are different from these versions along with everything else.
Yeah, agreed. They basically blew their load on the Monsterverse stuff as of now really quick so... 🤷♂️
I totally agree but the 2014 design is far different then the 2021 and 2019 design, imo even if the 2014 figure doesn’t come with the open clawed hands which would suck if we didn’t get them but the design itself is different enough to a point that I couldn’t call it lazy if the figure came with nothing.
I feel like Hiya did it like this strictly cause of licensing. They didn’t get the Toho approval til way after these figures were already in production so to just cancel them would be a no go. Besides, both SH and Neca frequently used the same sculpt for Legendary despite its flaws, if they got slack I think hiya can afford a smidge.
I do agree tho, no mainline figure has given Burning Godzilla actual eyes and it’s super disappointing.

The playsets for KotM Rodan and ghidorah has some pretty good planes and vehicles you should check out I would recommend them heavily. I forgot to say the brand is Jakks Pacific

@@orochi_slayer.5422 yeah I'd assume it's the statues, I have the neck, but it's not anywhere near accurate, and as I've gotten into stoobmotion, I like the better sculpts and articulation, so shma and hiya is killing it rn

Ok Karen lol. Seriously though not all figures are build glass. High quality figures are relatively durable. Hiyas Godzillas a very well built. And besides he can treat his action figures however he wants.
