Bandai really dropped the ball with this their monsterarts line tbh Godzilla minus one QC is abysmal, how they managed to make every copy looked different is crazy
And they're actually giving us figures from the Monsterverse that NECA and SH couldn't care less to do or won't do until the next ice age. MUTOs, Skullcrawlers. Maybe they'll actually do a Behemoth, Scylla, and Methuselah.
I genuinely don’t understand why Bandai is charging so much for so less with their SH Monsterarts line. At least Takara Tomy gives you a sh*t ton of accessories with their Transformers Masterpiece toys to try to justify the price.

Really glad they fixed that hinge joint at the jaw and janky neck sculpt. That really turned me off of getting that Godzilla previously Now Mothra on the other hand. That has just turned me on ..........To jumping on the Hiya Toys support train. For the price, size, and quality they are doing an excellent job bringing affordable Godzilla figures to people
Jobby, if you get a chance, I highly recommend getting the Hiya Rodan. Best Rodan ever. Also, those H pegs are so Mothra's stand can be connected to another Hiya stand. Learned that from their Alien vs Predator line. On a side note, with how good Mothra looks, I can't decide if I wanna get this version, or wait for the blue version of this sculpt.

Hello, Jobby. The "h" parts with Mothra's stand are supposed to connect with the stand for their Rodan figure to recreate their aerial battle. Also, my Hiya Toys King Ghidorah is on the way here. I will update this comment once I get him Edit: not about Hiya Ghidorah. This is made on the same day as the original comment. While I love that Hiya Toys is branching out from the Monsterverse and starting to make Toho monsters, they have not completely won me over. Godzilla 1991. While I am intrigued, the promo pics look a little off. I'll wait for the reviews to start coming in before I consider getting him. Edit: He is here. Other than a loose wing part that doesn't want to snap in, he's amazing. I also don't like how tough it is to get him in the knuckle walking pose, and I don't have the time rn. What's funny, though, is that on my copy, Ichi and Ni's eyes are straight, but San/Kevin's eyes are off and looking in different directions. I don't call that an error, I call that a feature. Another complaint is that his necks can't look down all the way, but I guess that's what the knuckle walking pose is for. Also, definitely heat up the tails before attaching.
You say they seem a little off by comparing the photos frame by frame with the movie? Because if you are comparing to a memory and then do a fair frame by frame movie comparison, you will realize the G1991 is very movie accurate, only eye colors could be improved a bit and that's all. The legs look like that in the movie especially during certain angles, so yes it's movie accurate.
@@mariodelgadogt the face just looks a little weird to me. At certain angles it looks exactly like the movie, but from others it doesn't look too great. But that's just me. Also, the neck doesn't look fully articulated, but that's less of an issue.
watching this video has made me wanna get this Godzilla as a test run and see how well that goes these figures look perfect and I will enjoy them greatly
For someone who’s a fan of mothra I love the updated design cause they gave her more mantis like arms kinda giving her a way to defend herself more easily then just shooting silk and bashing her wings at the enemy
I own both of these, got them from my local pop culture store and for a steal too. They were, if I remember correctly, just over $20 CAD each for a total of around $40CAD together.
I went to BBTS after watching this review to see their other products, and seeing the Ghidorah figure they have coming up, I am curious as to how the wings are constructed. The product images show the wings bent for being on all fours (so to speak), so I'm wondering if the wing membrane is made of some kind of flexible material.
2:15 this "BUT JOBBY" moment is actually wrong, the figure is advertised as the GvK godzilla but its actually using the KOTM sculpt aka the one being reviewed in this figure
King of the Monsters has some of my favorite designs for classic Godzilla monsters. It was a good movie, and these are some good figures. Keep it up Hiya Toys.
I can't wait to get my own Ghidorah. Many had got them here on my country but my supplier seems to got a delay. I ended up receiving my Skullcrawler first before alien. Kinda bummed out but the look of Ramarak is soo good that I think I'll manage waiting another month. Been owning and pre-ordering every single Hiya's Goji line (aside from the Hokkaido suit. Not a fan of suit era design aside from Beast Biollante and Orga), and I've been enjoying it. Out of the 9 that had arrived, I only experienced one QC issue that is a single dumbell joint in 2019 tail that is stuck, but I already fixed it by put a bit of lube to it. My Mothra got issue at the waist but it's technically my own fault cuz I heat it up. Eyes are all fine. Overall really satisfied thus far and this collection won't cost me both of my kidney. If the money I've spent on this is converted to SHMA, not even half of the KoTM cast would be mine. Especially since I got up to Ghidorah at the original Chinese price that is 39.99 and 90.00

I think you might have just gotten a bad copy. The eyes on my copy of Godzilla are clean. Mothra seems to be doing okay. I haven't seen many complaints about the painting on her, so nice. 👍 Also, I would highly recommend getting the Heat Ray Godzilla from Hiya. It's got a really good paint job, it comes with an atomic breath part, and it costs around $50. I love what hiya has been putting out. Now I'm just waiting for the Ghidorah figure to come out.

I'm sure others have said this as well, but you may have gotten unlucky with that Godzilla's paint. Mine turned out great, but obviously there's still room for some improvement on the QC if its noticeably sloppier for some people.

I was hesitant on Hiya because of their scale but i recently got the Hershey figure in their Judge Dredd serie and for Prive VS Quality...well im happily surprised i'll admit. She's a bit limited but painted nicely, is still poseable decently well and even had a base. Their Warhammer figures look pretty damn nice too but seem overprice though.

Had the total opposite problems with mine. Godzilla's eyes looked fine, and Mothra kept getting bisected at the waist due to a loose joint
