Thanks for checking out the video. Making this video was a lengthy but fun process. If you have followed along since the beginning you will know I went into this with an open mind. I’ve been a RZR fan for along time and I have owned multiple RZR’s over the last 12+ years. With that being said, many of you will know I recently did a similar video on a CF MOTO Z-Force 950 HO EX. Driving and comparing both of these machines over the last year had been a fun experience and my goal has been to share as many of those experiences with you as I can in an unbiased wasy. The journey has been an educational and entertaining one. I did my best to be open and unfiltered in sharing my experiences with this machine just like I was with the previous one. I wish I could have gotten more time on the trails driving this unit just like I had hoped for the same with the other machine. Having multiple machines is fun but it does have an impact on how much time you get to spend driving each of them. I hope that watching this video gives you a better understanding of what the new 2024+ RZR XP 1000 has to offer. My true goals with this vehicle evaluation were to just use it like a regular owner would and openly document it as I did that. These are the results of that experiment. I encourage you to leave comments with your opinions on this and similar machines. Better yet, leave feedback based on your personal experiences. I know this video isn't perfect and I didn’t cover everything so lets get some discussion going.
Great video. One of my buddies has this exact same machine. he likes it I've heard no complaints from him. Our last run out he had a small tree come up through the front and thankfully he had the Super ATV firewall guards on which deflected it down und under the machine lucky for him. That was a rough ride for him just about tore off the driver side rock slider and the passenger side rear quarter panel was broken loose. We were exploring a closed Black trail up in Calabogie to see what needed to be done to open it up again, very rough and very tight. The 1000 XP did well, sometime s### happens and it was his turn that day.
I can’t believe you’ve had it a year now! It is preforming very well. I am looking forward to more content. Hopefully more cf-moto content. I own a 23 z-950 ho ex . And so far it’s been a great unit.
Ya, this past year has flown by for me here. Machines, kids, projects, lots goin on lol. It’s been a great machine so far. I wish I could hang onto these machines for a few seasons each but that’s not possible at this time. Maybe once I win the lottery lol 😂
I've watched the whole process they you did since youve had it and you convinced me it's the perfect trail machine for me on Ohio trails thanks for the information on it
Is the RZR the best all around SXS? If you have a RZR leave your thoughts in a comment. Would you get another RZR or would you get something different?
The reason I got into this hobby was my yxz1000r manual transmission it will never probably be the best at anything but it puts a big smile on my face when I'm shifting gears. That being said there are so many choices that you can get these days that I don't believe a clear winner would be in the picture the Kawasaki seem to be populating the videos nowadays because of their ability but I think they're too big for a lot of applications no offense corny.
Also I'm waiting on that clown face z10 before I make any decisions on a new purchase it looks like what Yamaha should have done to their yxz line years ago
Good morning! Thanks, kiddos are doing good but my wife wants to get out and ride more. She's keeps telling me she is in withdrawal. Gotta get that 4 seater done so we can hit the trails as a family. Wishing you and all those close to you an awesome new year too.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd get ya on the 4 seater. Some people in our group are starting to have kids. It's been out with the 2 seater turbos and in with the 4 seater turbos !
I have the 24 xp4 premium! Its a great start! 1st sxs owned, but been around plenty! I deffinately want to upgrade front and rear arms! Thank you for the feed back on them, have been considering them over others!
I actually dig the mic man! I dunno why, its just different than everybody else does. 🤘😁 As far as the video goes, obviously I am partial to the Kawi's but I love learning about all the different brands. Honestly, it looks like a solid rig with a few mods (like anything else) but I find it is insane that a metal firewall isn't standard issue, (also like everything else) . That was a big seller for me and my machine. Metal firewall out of the factory. I know, for mellow trail riders and dunes guys it isn't really necessary but it should be standard equipment because the machine is capable of these conditions even if it never sees them. That seems to be a multi-brand problem though. The same applies to full blinker systems. Honestly, most people do a lot of road running to get to different locations and plenty of places, including here in Elliot Lake, it is legal to use almost all public roads, so it just makes sense. Everybody knows Polaris is the grand-daddy of them all and has un-matched factory options and aftermarket of course, so that is nice as well. I have heard quite a bit about Polaris' front diff issues, has that been beefed up? Nice review man!
All great points man! I guess I should have touched on the diff a bit. I was a little upset they didn’t put one of the larger diffs in this machine. That would have made it really awesome. We haven’t had tons of diff issues overall, usually those issues only really come up when you’re pushing super hard with lots of wheel spin and bigger tires. Stuff like the signals, metal firewall and exhaust vent on the trans are no brainer that should be addressed. Overall it’s a great machine but even great things have room for improvement. I still think in technical trails your KRX would come out on top but the RZR 1000 is a little more rounded so there are other areas it would do better.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd I know there are upgrade options out there, I watched your vid on how to swap it out in the Battle Wagon, just wondering if Polaris has caught on yet, lol, as manufacturers usually take years to do. Nobody wants to buy a new diff for a new machine. Oh yes, for sure, the KRX does great in some situations but also for sure it is a moose and definitely not a carver. The supercharger really makes it feel lighter and way zappier (is that a word?) but does nothing for the size and maneuverability........it is still a school bus, lol. Well I am not saying it will ever happen because the KRX fits me like a glove, but if I ever did switch camps, it would probably be to Polaris. 😁
You need an ajp box around the mic like Howard cosell used to have. And rhino I'm very ashamed of you because you know the rhino was the granddaddy of them all.
@daryelthomas9414 Hahaha, I meant that grew the sport class with an explosion. Oh ya, there were plenty before the RZR. Honda Odyssey springs to mind, Kawasaki Mule, yes, Yammy Rhino, lol. It took the Razor to make it mainstream fun. I remember I wanted one so bad, but I was still pretty wild in the mid millennium and had no money. Lol.
I just purchased a CFMoto Z force 950 4 seat. I have it on my trailer and heading home with it today, I haven't even driven it yet, the thing is pretty awesome. Quality is awesome.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd thank you, that was a long drive home from Southern California back to Phoenix. But it was worth it. I got a smoking deal on it. my grandson was at my house waiting for me and he unloaded it and drove it up and down the street with me in the passenger seat, I still have not even driven it.
great video as always! I own the exact same rzr, my issues after first ride: very loud, probably due to gearing. I added sound deadner behind and under seats. Very hot, installed super ATV flip windshield, installed Wolfsnout insulation in front end, built a dual overhead fan unit, insulated radiator lines, added floor mats. all the above helped a lot. Not happy with Ride Command, GPS is terrible, bought a Garmin Tread, works great. fuel gauge is not correct, shows more fuel than there is. I would rather have the premium with the standard gauges than the ultimate with the ride command. Now as far as the handling and capability the XP 1000 is a good machine. I sold a Polaris RS1 when I bought this one, I liked the RS1 better, lot more power and much better visibility and with radiator in the back there was no heat issues.
I have the 24 xp 4, went with the sport model so I was in the intial cost less and could build it the way I wanted. Only owned it 4 months and I’m impressed with it. The fit and finish isn’t up to par. But I tell myself it’s an off-road rig it’s gonna get beat up. I don’t absolutely just beat on mine but still like to keep it nice. Great machine, biggest complaint is as you mentioned the arms front and rear are not built for the machine as I am still running stock ones at moment and they do limit what I want to do with it until upgraded
Your gonna laugh at this got my ford tarus stuck in my yard. What I learned from your videos actually got me out. 😂 Had to keep momentum and clean them out
Here's my dilemma. I'm in the market to buy my first side by side after owning ATVs and dirt bikes all my life. I've always had Japanese quality and machines. I currently have a brute force 750 that's fully custom tuned with a race clutch etc. My thing is I love my speed. For my kind of riding it's mostly open dirt roads and fire roads at high speeds and I love to drift. I do pretty much zero mud other than the puddles you come across on the trails. And I do zero rock climbing. I was told by my ATV mechanic that if I bought Polaris I would be disappointed with the quality such as fit and finish and the quality of the components where I'm so used to Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki ect. I don't beat on my machines and I take care of them very well but like I said my style is high speed and I don't beat on them. I watched your other video on your review of the CF Moto. I'm really interested to see how they come along and interested to see the reviews on the new Z10. I always thought it was Chinese junk but I watched so many reviews on the making of it and dealer press reviews that really made it sound amazing. I want something that's quality that I don't have to worry about doing alignment jobs on all the time. (I was told in the Can-Am group that this is a very common thing with RZRs especially the turbo models) I was really looking at a RZR turbo R. But I'm just afraid of purchasing that here in Canada with the price tag it is you of all people would know we pay so much more up here and then not being happy with the quality or having issues. Kawasaki is also releasing a new model next month and they've been teasing about a supercharged version of the KRX of some sort.
Love your videos bud. I work on ATVs and SXSs, Polaris being the highest percentage. I personally own a 2020 Sportsman S 55”. It’s probably been the best ATV of had of theirs coming from earlier 1000”s and 850s. That said not many days go by where I’m not scratching my head on Polaris designs and ideas that are just not to good. So with that said I’m listening to your walk around which is very good but in typical Polaris fashion your exposing all the weak points, and , at the end of the day, there is a lot. You just can’t buy these machine s and not upgrade many of these right out of the gate if you intend on pushing the machine just a little. I think Polaris needs to be concerned with the new CF Moto machine that got delayed but is coming and has some leading industry ideas like 5 bolt automotive style hubs and radiator in the rear, just to name a few. Plus a turbo with a $20K price point. Seems as the the US engineer of this machine that walks around and explains what they were out to accomplish is listening to SXS owners. So we will see. But great videos !!!!
The other safety feature I noticed with this machine is if you're in neutral or park it does not let you Rev the piss out of it 😂. It limits what you can revv too which is interesting maybe other rzrs have had that also i always was tuned so mine never had it. The only issue I've personally had with this machine in 1000 hard miles through the trails is i bent a tie rod. They are far too weak, it was easy to bend it back but they definitely seem really weak to me.
And interestingly enought they do not sell the arm individually if you bend it they want you to buy the whole steering rack which imo is a joke. I'd rather just upgrade the arms from super atv or at least have the option to replace with a factory arm. I know why they made it the weak point but why even do that or you're not going to offer the option to replace it
I love my 2024 xp1000 but I have had a couple of issues. I have had 3 bad universal joints and rear yoke, the universals are not available in Canada right now from Polaris until at least end of jan 2025 or feb 2025 and i have a oil leak on the passenger side of engine the gasket has blown out on the bottom. I am in the prosses of having this repaired now I also have already had the front A-Arm bushings replaced all repairs were warranty .If available in your area I would recommend the Polaris 5 year warranty upgrade its a few grand extra but well worth it
I really wanna get a Can-Am. Especially as a Canadian I should have a Can-Am on the fleet. I’d love to get a Maverick R. That would be badass. I also love the defenders and their ATV lineup is number 1. I just need to find someone to partner up with to get into one. I’ve managed to establish some strong relationships over the years with local Polaris, Kawasaki and cfmoto dealerships but have struggled over the years to break the ice with any of the Can-Am dealers. Sometimes I feel that because I try to be unbiased and work with all the brands it might rub some brands the wrong way. If anyone reading this has a foot in the door with a Can-Am dealership that would see the value in helping me get into a unit I’d be very motivated to chat with them on the subject.
Happy to hear you enjoy the channel. What specifically are you referring to? I’ve been in and around RZR XP 1000’s since they came out in 2014 so I base my comments off first hand experience. With that being said I’m far from perfect and don’t claim to know everything about these machines so I may have misspoken.
i have a 2024 sport, loaded up with accessories now, i like it its been reliable rides nice, but its so damn loud lol, thats my #1 complain honestly it gets real old having to yell back and forth with the wife and having the music full blast and cant even hear it. my next machine will be a factory full cab Hvac utility for sure. they seem to go everywhere the sport guys go on easy to moderate trails, and hell I've even seen guys do some crazy stuff with if your not afraid to send it. and that full cab and heat will be amazing
I just purchased one and the fit and finish is worse than my 18 rzr, none of the plastic fit together like you would expect and the door seals are a joke. 2024 for 15599 brand new only reason i bought it vs something else. I will be taking it to Hatfield and mccoy later today for a week to see if it was worth it
Really? I feel they improved on fit and finish overall. As I said in the video, I do feel they still have a lot of room to improve in those areas on this model. Especially when you compare fit and finish they offer in their birth star edition vehicles.
Would also like to add how disappointed i am in the polaris upper doors for this unit, at over 900$ the don't fit without modifications. Thanks polaris for overcharging for plastic that doesn't even fit correctly
Hey man. Hard choice. Both are wicked. If you are a technical trail rider and rock crawler who doesn't care about acceleration or speed I say the KRX is hard to beat. Watch some of our trail riding video and you'll see. If you want a bit more sport then the RZR may be a better choice. It's really hard to say. Suspension is better on KRX overall. Build quality and overall reliability/longevity of OEM components is much better on KRX. Ability to climb and rock crawl is better overall for KRX. Aftermarket support is similar these days. Warranty is likely better on RZR. Cost is similar. Styling is personal preference. Acceleration and high speed capabilities are a bit better on RZR. Overall they are very well matched machines. I would say it really does come down to a few key points but mostly personal preference. Its a hard question to answer. Maybe this will help add context. Out of the 4 KRX guys we ride with regularly I can say with quite a bit of confidence that none of the 4 riders would trade their KRX for a RZR. However, a few of the RZR riders in our crew would seriously consider going from RZR to KRX. Hope that helps. With all that being said I didn't really answer your question, would I get a RZR XP1K or a KRX 1000... if I was getting one tomorrow and could only have one then I'd be leaning towards the KRX based on my personal preferences. I've had 4 RZR's and haven't had a KRX so that's part of the reason.
Hey. Enjoy the video . I have a xp4 1000 sport . Quick question I have the exact same rim tire combo but was told I needed a clutch kit. So put a Dalton kit in even before trying the stock clutch . Any thoughts it is a bit heavier. Should I go back to stock and see? Thanks
To run a 32 you don’t need to clutch this machine in my opinion. But like I said in the video you’ll always benefit from dialled in clutching. With that being said you can make the clutching worse than stock if you don’t set the clutch kit correctly. Sounds like someone just wanted to sell you a clutch kit. The machine feels great on stock clutch.
Hey man ✌🏻 Thanks for this video about the rzr 1000 xp. I am with your opinion and sure there are some points, they could do it better.. i will see for 2025 that i buy this machine here in Germany. But when i would stay in US and ride stuff like u do, maybe i would take a bigger polaris. But for me i think is would be a perfect choice. But what me fucked up is the price here in Germany. U must pay 30k € (31.500$) for the naked version! So thats crazy i think! So thanks for all the videos about this machine and safe ride for 2025! And one question, will u buy this machine or still ride your rzr 1000 u have? Greetings from Germany ✌🏻🇩🇪 Dennis
That's sad. That much money for these. Yet my cheap hunting machine Axis 500 is street legal out of the box. It only does 45. But it's mainly for the ranch, hunting work horse and only 9 Grand

I am in the prosses of having this repaired now I also have already had the front A-Arm bushings replaced all repairs were warranty .If available in your area I would recommend the Polaris 5 year warranty upgrade its a few grand extra but well worth it
With some EQ adjustments the sound system can pump out some decent quality!
I have a 2025 polaris rzr xp 1000 hope to have good service out of it
Nice! I’m sure you will. They are great machines.
How about an x3 year long review next lol. About time you come to the dark side lol
Super vidéo merci 😊
Love the channel but you should watch the polaris channel describing the improvements in this model. Its Not the same as the year before..
Do you have any plans of going to West Virginia next year me and the wife will be down there in July
i have a 2024 sport, loaded up with accessories now, i like it its been reliable rides nice, but its so damn loud lol, thats my #1 complain honestly it gets real old having to yell back and forth with the wife and having the music full blast and cant even hear it. my next machine will be a factory full cab Hvac utility for sure. they seem to go everywhere the sport guys go on easy to moderate trails, and hell I've even seen guys do some crazy stuff with if your not afraid to send it. and that full cab and heat will be amazing
Have you done a wrap up video on the CFM?
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd maybe I got one of those units built on a Monday after a weekend of drinking lol
SOLD !! (If I was in the market for one)
@@newyorkmike40342 you’d look good in it.
@AdrenalineJunkieProd I'd make it look good !!😉😁
Torn between this and a krx what do u think
@AdrenalineJunkieProd thanks for your indepth opinion ..much appreciated
Awesome. New to this just wished people would be honest.
Can u not water proof the belt??? Like a snorkel???
That video in tunnel is reason y I bought the 6000a avapow!!! Thank u Honda lol
That's sad. That much money for these. Yet my cheap hunting machine Axis 500 is street legal out of the box. It only does 45. But it's mainly for the ranch, hunting work horse and only 9 Grand
Idk about a guy that can talk about his side by side for 40 minutes on one video that’s just a little too much
No one here forcing you to watch, lol.
