No sir, you are incorrect. Yes you very much right, controls are worth a lot of money. That's exactly why they cut them, so you have to buy new ones from their store.
A co-worker of mine was telling me that they have a 1984 tower of power motor that they cannot remove from their boat it's a ranger he's tried to hoist it he's tried everything he said. I told her I would try to find some information online on how to remove this motor I'm not sure what it could possibly be stuck on maybe there's a pen or something that they're forgetting to remove. Can anyone help me out with that? Thank you it would be greatly appreciated
Theres no secret pin or anything, just 4-6 bolts which hold the motor to the transom. Sometimes you have to chip away a little at the sealant if someone really goobered it on, or maybe theres some barnacles in the way or something, but they should all be pretty obvious. Once they are out, the motor comes right off
Ive worked on cars all my life and recently got a boat, pleasantly surprised the ease of it
Great to see you again, Max!
There you are Grizzly, thought you'd taken up farming! Great instructable.
At 140 hp, it's not surprising to see a crack in that tiny transom....
