When you're about to swear but you remember the kiddo is there, "There's all kinds of shhhhhtuuuffff in there" Hilarious 😂 Great info friend! Thank you
That oil you noticed at 3:48 is usually a symptom of a clogged PCV system. This is a very common problem on these cars. FCP Euro sells a full replacement kit.
Enjoyed this video and just discovered MontanaLowGear Learned many four letter words working on cars with my father back in my teens. Lots of 850 timing belt job videos online, matthewsvolvosite has good write-ups, RobertDIY on UA-cam is the patron saint of the Volvo 850. I'm going to tackle my timing belt, tensioners, and water pump with a kit from FCPEuro in March 2017. St. Bridget of Sweden, pray for me. My car doesn't have the miles on it (only 110,000) but it's got the years (1994 Turbo 850 Sportwagon with the B234T5).
This is useless. Annoying kid running around, doing things you don't need to like cutting the belt, didn't explain how you got the T45 bolt loosened/tightened.
Nice work! Your helper will be a master tech in no time
Oh yeah! thank you! he gets more and more interested every project, but I would rather he become an engineer haha!

Love your side-kick.
hats off. thats a tough job in any front wheel drive
pittsburgh volvo tuners it sucked man had to do the head gasket too. the difficulty is putting it all back together the right way.
If the T45 doesn't fit, just smash the bit out of the socket and place the bit in a 8mm 1/4" socket or 8mm (ratchet) wrench.
Works like a charm.

Thanks for such a confidence inspiring video, you make it seem so easy! I hate that a timing belt is only worth 40 bucks but its $1k labour lmfao
mate this is easy try a Ford granada twincam chain driven hand grenade tensioner
Is necessary to place piston number 1 on tdc when timing a volvo 850
Bud, just take the harmonic balancer off next time. Would've taken you 5 minutes and saved you a headache.

If you think thats tight try a ford focus ST170 you can barly put a fkt hand between the engine and the body
not necessary to cut timing belt.
pittsburgh volvo tuners I'm sure it's not, but sometimes you do what have to in order to make up time...
People told him to, so he thought he did.
Did this actually work? All the other videos I have seen involve releasing the serpentine belt?
He didn't tell you half the things you need to do - for example removing the bracket under the crankshaft pulley.
Selam👍
