From what I have learned the 1962 frame is a x box on the 2 wheel models and the ladder frame was on the 4 wheel drive models. So you are working on the 1962 k 10 frame? And not the Apache x box frame?
Looks like a amazing kit. I am curious about the 1962 GMC frame. The 1960 to 1962 chevy came with the x box frame and the torsion bars . Must be different on a GMC?
Hello you are correct the 60-62 is an X frame chassis and also has torsion bars on the front suspension instead of coil springs. This was actually installed on a 63-66 chassis. We manufacture the body mounts to make the conversion simple. By using a a 63-66 chassis we can eliminate all the unnecessary parts of the X frame chassis. You can pick up a 63-66 long bed chassis for cheap.
Do a video on a 55-59 install, you can do it on my 59 GMC swb and my front and back kits that I have just sitting in my garage since I picked them up from you guys lol 😆 ... i can't make perfect robot welds like you guys yet 😂😒
I enjoy your vids and glad you’re making some of installs. Ready for the rear suspension install! Thank for sharing the info.
Thanks Robert, we have a rear back half that will be coming out soon also
