I like the Heather surrounding the hut (Bothy) for a bit of Scottish colour

I'm sure few, including myself, would recognise the name or existence of the Tunskeen bothy. Your talent for squirreling out and sharing a trip here is so much appreciated.
So the Galloway Forest may not be on a par with the crags, peaks and glens of the Highlands, but the pleasure of a walk through the fresh air, plants, birds and wildlife is well observed and enjoyed in your video. The intense purple colours of Heather and Fireweed you captured beautifully.
The locals hills hereabouts, The Merrick and its neighbours are certainly worth a trek, though from my limited experience of this area, navigation through bogs is a required skill!

Yeh I’ll definitely have to give the hills a shot at some point. I really enjoyed the area and will be back very soon I’m sure for some more adventures. Thanks again for the comment, means a lot

Hi pal i see that you were the first visitor at Tunskeen Bothy after me my mention was the last one in the bothy book 👍 I walked in from the Stinchar Falls pushing my wheelbarra with my dog MacTavish in it along with our coal & wood & supplies, it took me 6 hours too walk 4 miles we had plenty of stop breaks it was hard going but it was worth it too make memories with my dog 👍

I feel the same way about earphones. I carry them but never use them. Bothy was in a very good condition. Great video.

Thanks mate. Yeh once you get into a rhythm of walking and enjoying nature you don’t need anything else really.
