don't know if you still need the answer but it's played on a Low F whistle. (i believe an Overton whistle to be specific ;-)) at least that is what i play it with.
That bald flute/whistle player is phenomenal, too. His last name is "Finnegan" isn't it? I actually think there is two different men that play very well. The group Flook comes to mind, also. 🙂
