kinda sucks that you can only get to know one of them in a playthrough. they're both such great friends who come with their baggage. neither are perfect, yet they're the best friends Mae could have.

Maybe. I just watched the creator give an hour-long talk, and he said he wanted you to have an experience of a real breathing world that kept going even when you aren't looking. I think the fact that you can only explore one of your friend's "routes" intentionally reinforces this atmosphere. (And also so every player has a unique experience, unless you're the completionist type.)
i imagine this being casey's theme. if you really could get a different ending with casey being alive, i imagine this being the credits music. i wish we knew more about casey.

I imagine this song playing in an AU where Bea's car is broke down, so she and Mae instead spend the entire day biking to the party.

Don't worry fellas, they do plan for a sequel (They already know what will happen in it) but they're going to be working on a lot of other stuff first before returning to NITW

I also heard there was an idea for a sequel going around, not like what the story is gonna be, but doing it, but they won't be doing it for a while
HighNoonSheriff Yeah, the devs said they will/thought of making a sequel, but making NiTW kind of put a lot of hardships in their way, so they're considering a sequel of some kind, but aren't gonna start work on any kind of sequel in a long time. I would guess maybe 3 - 5 years.

I wonder if Night in the woods would make a better animated series on CN?
Hell yeah it would! But knowing CN they'd probably just keep playing Teen Titans GO over it and thus, having it get terrible views. We'll just have to leave it up to the fandom/fans to make short animations and web comics and stuff. Maybe in the future though....who knows.
I'd much rather have it on a more mature network.
How about a Netflix Original Series? Or maybe some other streaming service? That way, the creators can have almost full Creative Freedom to work on it! And I'm sure in a matter of time Night in The Woods will get more and more popular, allowing for a possible multiple seasons. The only thing we'll need are good voices for the characters (or not, idk).
thewolfPrince+ Exactly what I was thinking, the guys who made Bojack could totally balance between funny moments, sad moments, serious moments and heartfelt moments almost flawlessly. It almost seems like a match made in heaven for them to do a Night in The Woods cartoon. If only there was a way to expose them to collaborate with the creators of both properties.....dang.
