Great looking cooker Jaxx, great video. In Mexico it's called a Disco and Discada is a specific food that is cooked in it. It generally consists of bacon, chorizo, pork and/or chicken and hot dogs. It's served with tortillas, good stuff.
I just received my 22" Discada - BBQ Spring Handle Design today... and didn't know about the discount code. I'm going to try it on my Weber 22" charcoal grill. Can't wait.
I was watchin your Cornitas vid and tom goes, boog you know what those are...plow disks..I was like shaddap no way hehe..Jaxx you give the best reviews...beautiful!
Great opening sequence there buddy, I always like that sort of opening. I've tried myself but never quite made it work. Disk-ount 😂😂😂😂😂 sorry... I'll stop with the 'jokes' They really do look like a cool area. It would be cool if you could have shown the 'before' of it off the tractor. The work that has gone into it looks pretty decent. It is a neat idea that they also provide legs, gas burners and he accessories. DOOOO ITTTT!
@@TheAyotteMan Hey brother I need to apologies to you. I was sitting in my garage today drinking a cold on one and I got to looking at the lid and I thought If I turned the top of the lid upside down into the disk it should fit. so, I tried it and it fits nicely. It possibly could go right side up but it would be snug and possibly could break the wooden handle so I wouldn't do that.. Anyways sorry I'm just now figuring this out I just assumed it wouldn't . Thanks for making me try this out...
@@JaxxDrinkwater Thanks for the update! I am ready to purchase my own disc and burner but they just don’t have the collapsible burners in stock yet. I’ve looked other places for the same burner but they are sold out everywhere! Thanks 🙏
Dude, i've got one word for ya... BITCHIN! I was gonna buy me a camp chef, but maybe I ought to get this thing but the 18" and that same propane burner cause it looks like you could put a small griddle on top of it too.
Backcountry Exposure I have one from SouthWest, drove to them just North of Albuquerque! They are some badass Veterans and their work and Discada is THE BEST in the business! There are several Disco Brands here in Albuquerque however Southwest Disk is the best quality and the best prices! On their website, they offer a burner as seen in this video. Bottom line, if you want the best and the cheapest setup without building one yourself, definitely buy from SouthwestDisk.com or if you happen to drive through Albuquerque, NM... call David up and he will hook you up!
dIscada is a style of cooking not the device. I just took delivery of Southwest disk today. I've used this style of disks before, even made a couple. But since I moved to California I left mine back in Texas. Great for camping I love the multipurpose typical Mexican style. So, after I emailed them about the disk having legs. They assured me the disk had removal legs WRONG! I bought the 18 inch Madrid model, I'm not for sale so no gifts. Disappointed, no legs. I guess I'll find a welding shop and have them attach some nuts and long (12 inch x 5/8) bolts
Not sure what went wrong or why they told you that. The Roswell models are the ones with legs. Why don't you try and return it? They are great people and should accomdate you.
Well I emailed them via the reply I received about the legs. Now, David says that , for that model they are an add on. If they were that great they would have admitted their miscommunication and offer an apology. It's not a bad device if they had offered an exchange or a coupon for a bologna sandwich we would have been friends. But they didn't, making me feel like it's my fault. Like I said it's not a bad device, it doesn't stick out as exceptional but it's a disk. I'll improvise, adapt and roll with the punches (I'm a Vet as well).
I made 2 of these. More shallow than yours. Love them, never made a video cooking on them. You just gave me an idea for a how to video! Awesome video JAXX10! lol, Check out my giveaway video, I mention you! Do it! Thanks for sharing Jaxx
I just went and checked and you're absolutely right - so sorry about that Armando. It was just very recently working. I'll try and reach out to them about it. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Where did you buy your paddle and big cooking tools for this?
Hey Chris I got it off Amazon.. amzn.to/2tyf2jq
Do you have to use the disk burner or can you use a regular propane burner?
Yes, you could. It just sits better on this burner.
I have the 22" Santa fe disk and i love it, i have a couple videos on my channel were i made tacos n fish and man its great
I'm headed over to check out the videos now.
Cool that you can offer that "DISC"ount" to your friends!!!
Ha! good one.. Yes very nice of Southwest disk to offer that up for people. I've been thinking of trying to cook up some kettle corn up in it next.
Jaxx Drinkwater - cool... get a bunch of friends to sit around the disc and catch the popcorn in their mouths as it rockets outa the disc!
LOL
Great review, Jaxx 😊👍🏼
Do you think the lid will fit in the bag with the disk?
No sir, it will not fit.
@@JaxxDrinkwater I’m glad I asked, thanks.

Would be like cast iron seasoning?
Yes it would

You could definitely use a griddle on the burner, mine fits on it, Although, I haven't cooked on it like that yet I don;t see why it wouldn;t work.

Big gear for a big appetite.
Mine is a true discada and is a actual disc blade 6mm thick at 24"
These are made from a pressed steel round ..in a press but it is a nice piece !
Well, you are misinformed this one is actually a plow disc.
Love discada's
