I remember this and wasn't any horse shoes on it back then I don't think..don't remember but I do remember how cool this idea was, yer some kind of genius Papa!
Awesome video papa! I was planning on making some of these. My dad goes to auctions in Kansas and he says they have the discs all the time, so he said he would pick some up for me. By the way I ordered my gas bottle and it will be here Friday! So I will be able to start making pretty welds!
Wow, was dumbfounded for a few moments [city-slicker mind set], then had a V-8 moment. 'Plow Disc', was briefly construing Snow Plow, and not agricultural field plow. Happy Thanksgiving Papa to you and yours. We all have much in being thankful.
I got a mini skillet version of the Plow Disc that I will upload in a couple of days...It's part of my JunkYard Bushcraft Series that I am doing...I hope you like it...because I'm shoutin' you out in it...lol.
ps... hoping to post stuff over Christmas... fingers crossed its happening. at all... ;) Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones and A FANTASTIC NEW YEAR :)
@@PAPATexas I think Someone somewhere should sell a smaller version ( not a actual disc used for agricultural purpose ) , that could be used on a flat top electric stove , I just haven't found it yet .
Awesome, I graduated from Ennis, lived in Kerens, worked in Corsicana, lived in Rice then moved back home to TN. All together I was in TX for 28 yrs. & once you give TX a chance it will always be home.
These thing are great. I love them.Cooks most anything.
Yes!
This was a neat idea Papa, perfect for the camp fires😊😊 GREAT share!!
Thanks Candy
I seen a disc plow with a 4" tall ring of 1/4" steel welded around the edge
,I think you have to heat up the steel if you want the welds to hold up.

Awesome! I have a mini cast Iron Skillet I want to do a cook in, I think it is 3 inches across!
Cook up some bacon three times and throw it away???...for some reason, I just don't think that would go down here in the south...lol.
lol Mart
You might just feed it to the dogs.
@@shawnr771 i did when i had dogs
Use salt oil and potato skins instead👍
That way your first meal can be bacon and hash browns with a couple of overeasy eggs 😉😎
Thank you for sharing.

Thats a great hack bud. I like it , going to make one in the future. 👍
Awesome Steve!
Awesome video thanks 🙏🇨🇦🛠

Cool DIY project. Academy Sports sells a 24 inch ready made one for $50 for those less inclined to make one themselves.

@@PAPATexas I would like to have one small enough to cook on , on a flat top electric stove .
These real plow discs are 22" across

Papa, what size disk did you use? Turkey fryer size?
It is either a 22" or 24". Not turkey fryer size, not deep enough!
I would like to know where you are in Texas?
McKinney Texas!

Where can i find one without a hole in it already? I dont know any welders. Lol
Try your local Tractor/Farm supplier.
@@PAPATexas tried tractor supply and all over online. Cant find one without a hole. A link instead of cryptic hints would be more helpful.
@@JoeyTheSinic Do you want to make it, or buy one ready to use? Link to one here: amzn.to/3C68GvG
