Stretch Of Wet Weather To Soak Southern US

A prolonged stretch of very wet weather is in store for nearly the entire southern U.S. into early next week. A front will stall across the region and will help fire up numerous storms each afternoon from New Mexico to the Carolinas. Scattered instances of flash flooding appear likely each day as copious amounts of atmospheric moisture support torrential downpours with the strongest storms.
