My bottle says it's one of 18,000. They're probably releasing this in batches and calling it "limited". Well, as long as the whisky's great!
Sounds like a great whisky, and right up my alley! I love things like Glendronach Peated, Balvenie Peat Week, and Compass Box Lost Blend - peated whiskies with a strong sweet backbone. I will have to grab a bottle of this! It looks like V&T still has it in stock, but now showing a price of $63. They must have adjusted a bit. Still sounds like it's worth it at that price even.
Don't mean to make anyone unhappy. But I've aquired 2 Fumare and 4 of Spey tenne. Awsome whiskey. Kinda wished these cats would have stayed in the bag longer.👍😂🥂 nice review guys.

Checked online for availability and by chance even came across their offering of the 1.500 bottles limited cask strength Fumare @59.3% abv for 50 EUR. If I should pull the trigger I'll let you know what comes out of it. :-)
I haven't heard of this whisky. It is available at a couple places in California that sell it for $56. It's unavoidable. studying wine and whisky will lead you to study other languages. "Fumare" in French would be "Fumé" (smoke). In the Loire Valley France, in the Pouilly-Fumé region they produce Sauvignon Blanc that is very smoky and flinty due to the soils the vineyards are planted on.
Guys, I love the channel and especially like to determine which Dummy I relate to the most when it comes to your notes and scores. Oddly I'm a bit bipolar; sometimes I'm aligned with Andrew, sometimes Drew (I like the peat and the sherry). My one difficulty is that the math (averaging) crowds your scores with most of them coming between 2.5 and 3.5, so the deviation is a bit hard to discriminate because of each of you have different palates. Would it be possible to also post each Dummy's score in the notes along with the overall average? I watch every review but I like to come back to the videos when I'm making my purchase decisions. Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for another great review guys! I was itching to buy a bottle online when I stumbled across the Cask Strength, Batch 1, bottled @59.3% ABV. I’m going out on a limb here to see if you guys had possibly tried a sample? And if so, how would it fare against the Limited Release bottled @46% ABV? Is it just a totally different animal? ATB, from across the pond.
If you really want more bottles of this.... wait for it .... Binny's has some and you might know someone heading to Chicago this week. Here it is $54.99 a bottle so a little more than what you paid for it.

Haven’t tried this one but I have tried Spey Tenne which was excellent.

Great job finding something a little off the beaten path guys! Love finding out about a good bottle from a distillery I don't know of yet.

Have you guys tried any of the Spey cask strength bottlings? and if so what were your thoughts?
I did the Speyside Distillery 12 recently. It was ok, so I want to really try this one. BTW - "Spey" is their Taiwanese market releases.

Local liquor stores don't sell it and Total Wine doesn't stock it.

I have found one of these bottles locally in Melbourne Australia but it is $150AUD (roughly $100USD). Is that worth it do you think?
