Phra Dan (Bhante Dhammarakkhita, Bhikkhu) is a Theravada Buddhist Monk who lived in India from 2020, Thailand and now Sri Lanka. Born in Sussex, England in 1967. Educated by French Catholic Monks. A successful businessman in Estate Agency and Financial Services during the 1980's and 90's. Married, now divorced with 3 adult sons. 2000 marked change and travel including South Africa returning to the UK in 2003 to continue different work and business activities until 2012. Gradually materialistic values turned to renunciation, simplicity and meditation, living nomadically in an old Ford Transit van full time for 3 years. Van life and meditation led to Buddhism and a Thai Forest Tradition, Theravada Buddhist Monastery in the UK. During 2015 travelling the Buddhist Holy Sites of India, deep faith reinforced desire for Ordination. In 2020 after 5 years of intensive meditation practice between Thai Forest Monasteries in Thailand and England he was Ordained in India where he lived for 3 years until returning to Thailand in 2023 and now Sri Lanka.

im sorta binging on your videos this week.
to those that are doubtful, do go ahead and investigate this bhante, and binge on his videos, mindfully.
you will find it very very very hard to discredit his words and directions.
i think he's well learnt, well sincere, and well meaning, thats for sure.
    quite a blessing, really.
(have u EVER tried to reach out to bhante's in lay life? but please do yourself a favour and educate yourself first, before asking really cringe questions, wasting everyone's time.)

Buddhist itself is intellectual, you are very intellectual dear Banthe. As l do understand your teachings and complexity all terms of Buddha darhmma, for beginners like my self including and on reflection human mind, any way teachings or darhmma are true.
    Thank you for reading

As I look back on my life, some actions I took, it seemed right at the time but looking back I can see my disillusion. I was standing outside my door and there was a small bug. To amuse myself I gave the bug human gestures and had a conversation with it. Even though I was joking I could see how easy it is to project ourselves onto another. So it seems that I am looking out and projecting my thoughts and ideas into situations that seem to be the right action but as I look in the rearview mirror I see my disillusionment in the past situation. . So I wonder how if all of us are suffering disillusion how can we be responsible for it esp when we are doing our best to become a fuller rounded person? Does the baby create Karma when it soils itself? I really try to stick to things I can understand through experience, This abstract always leads me into a cloud of fog.

it entirely depends on your intentions behind your comical gestures which u think were just pure fun.
were you making fun of/ subjugating the little insect?
or were you projecting loving-kindness towards it?
in my opinion so far, thats how your kamma bank gets affected.
the action itself, is pretty much meaningless in the grand scheme of things, because i honestly think, it was completely out of your control/ will.
this whole entire thing is a simulation.

      yes.
a swami approached buddha and said
"buddha, i spent the last dozens of years practising super duper hard. now i can levitate across the river. am i worthy?"
      buddha said:
"sorry, but you wasted those dozens of years. you could've just spent 25 cents and got a boat-rower to row you across the river in 5 minutes. "
this was not meant to be a funny joke.
