Please believe.. I WISHHHHH someone would have told me and helped me with Surplus funds when I went through a Foreclosure. I've been there and I was not thinking straight and would have had NO idea of what steps to take next knowing I was loosing my home. Yes, a person can do it themselves if they are aware and confident in taking the right steps but why not have help dealibg with the courts from someone with experience?

You can fully remotely service a county in another state just as you were going to with Dallas. But if Dallas is where your set on then sorry I don't have any info on that city!
Yes Texas requires a PI for State Funds, which is completely different than Surplus Funds/Excess Proceeds. All you need to do is hire a PI for state funds and hire a Lawyer for Excess proceeds. The lawyer & PI are considered third party expenses. The lawyer would get his 10% or $1k after the claim is complete, charged directly to the client. The PI can be paid upfront to conduct the research on the claimant for you, or you can do the research and have the PI fill out the claim form and send it in to the state in exchange for a fee or spit of the 10%

And they save alot in overhead if you use one like i have, mine is more specific to roofing and construction but I can send digital contracts in it so I can still use the same crm I have now. some of them have a larger learning curve.
