I made this yummy chocolate cake yesterday, had to use normal vanilla extract and baking powder as we don't have the special ingredients in UK supermarkets, but it was a success all the same, not too sweet either. Thank you Laura.

I just made this and put it in the oven :D Didn't have any pearled sugar so I added ferrero rocher crumbles... can never go wrong with that!

notes:
I added a bit more milk because it was a bit too thick
I added chocolate chips into the batter
I did 1/3 cup brown sugar and 2/3 cup granulated sugar instead of 1 cup granulated sugar (to get a molassesy taste)
I used salted butter and didn't add the extra salt
just tried a slice, it's so delicious. Definitely recommend trying it!
