For the people that are asking why it's called a coffee cake when there's no coffee in it, it's a coffee cake because you eat it when you drink coffee.
Amazing recipe! Everyone loved it. I recommending slowly adding milk , bit by bit, so you maintain the thick batter that she has in the video. Used sour cream, turned out fantastic!
I love your videos they are helping me through the lockdown in the UK during this crazy times as I'm not working at the moment due to my work being closed as it's a pub restaurant. Just trying to stay positive and not let my anxiety get the best of me. I love your daughter she is so cute x x
I must say, although i only subscribed a few days ago, i am in LOVE with your recipes! Especially the feeling of ease you give off to your viewers, in a sort of self confidence that anyone could recreate it with no unforseen disaster. Its really refreshing to watch, and gives an inspiration to bake! So thankyou for sharing your recipes with us :)
I just made this today! I didn't have peaches so I used nectarines, and my batter was a little wet so the fruit sank to the bottom while baking. Still, it looks amazing and tastes delicious! I turned over the slices when plating and it looks almost like a blueberry cheesecake. Thanks Laura~
I made this with cut up peaches that I folded into the batter and also swapped the blueberries for blackberries (a mistake.. the blackberries were too seedy so will stick with blueberries next time) but WOW this was a hit with my family, goes perfect with a sweeter coffee. Thanks Laura for a recipe that has survived years!
Made this today only used one cup of milk because my fruit was very ripe and only baked it for one hour. Some of the fruit sank some didn't. I added a little drizzle of lemon glaze and this coffee cake is Soooo moist and delicious!
I'm prepared today for laura's video I have my strawberry cake next to me and now I can watch her lol because every time i see her sweets recipes videos I'm craving something and today is my cheat day so lets enjoy...love you Laura you are the best !!!
Hi Laura, love your channel. Have been watching several episodes. Idea, when you are going to line with parchment, spray canola oil on the pan first and the parchment will stick, even at the end of a roll. I love getting new recipes. Thank you for sharing your families love. You seem so real and I appreciate that. Take care, Dee
Laura, you are amazing. My 12 year old daughter and I are both subscribed to you and every time you post something we each try to watch it first and then run out of our bedrooms yelling "I beat you to it"...lol.. We make your dishes ALL THE TIME!! :)
I've just made it! It's so delicious! since blueberries are expensive in France I've added apricots instead. ( and I've got to admit I've forgotten one egg.....)
I would love to try this with blueberries, strawberries and kiwi; omit the vanilla sugar and dust with powdered sugar at the end. I guess you can prepare with any type solid fruit and nuts, if you just use the cake recipe as your base. Great video!!! 😃👍🏻
Heyyy Laura 😘 It's seem soooo delicious and i am going to make this tonight for dessert 🙈 Thank you for your amazing recipes 😘😘 Keep going you will achieve lots in life 😘❤️
That looks gorgeous! I make something with most of the same ingredients - but you melt the butter in a baking dish and mix the cake batter (without butter) and I use buttermilk for my liquid ingredient. The pour the cake batter over the melted butter and then just dump in the fruit but don't stir it. Then just bake it. Because the butter has been melted in the oven, it really releases it's aroma and just really infuses the cake. It's just really good and rustic - not pretty like yours! Oh, and top with vanilla ice cream when you dish it up if you want to take it up a notch!
Hi Laura, what a beautiful cake, great for then you're expecting visit, it looks beautiful & moist. I'm going to make this cake this weekend. My family just love home made cake with fruit. Cheers
Could the Blueberries be added throughout the cake so they sink down and they release their juices into the cake and there are Blueberries inside and not just on top? Looks absolutely delicious, Laura! Another hit!
Love your recipe, made this and was one best desert that my family enjoyed. I also used this same recipe again and made it with plum's instead of blueberry's and peach. 😉❤️
Hi Laura, live your channel. You make the most intimidating recipes so fun and simple. Keep up the marvelous work. I can't wait to try some of your recipes. God Bless Túson Jamaica
Our peach harvest was phenomenal, but that was back in August. It is now December and we're into winter. I'm going to take a chance and use frozen peaches and frozen blueberries. Maybe if I reduce the total liquid content a little it might still be successful. It's worth a try anyway..
your videos rock laura I love your recipes, can you a recipe of mexican authentic horchata I would love the video here is the the recipe. INGREDIENTS 2 cups dry white rice 3 cups water 1cinnamon stick 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup sugar 1 can evaporated milk DIRECTIONS Soak the rice in the 3 cups of water with the cinnamon stick, overnight or for at least 6 hours. After resting, place the mixture into a blender and add the evaporated milk, sugar and vanilla extract, and blend until smooth. Strain the liquid through a fine sieve a few times to remove any grittiness. Serve over ice and garnish with a cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon on top.
I love your channel I love when you go to Nonna's house I want her table cloths reminds me of my grandparents ,it's the little things in life! xo Jenn long island NY.
Made this recipe yesterday and it came out great thanks Laura! Only suggestion would be baking for 60 mins. 70 mins, as noted on the recipe, was a smidge too long.
Looks so good. I have all of the ingredients minus the vanilla sugar, but it's too hot to use the oven this weekend. I'll try this when it's not too hot.
Hey laura, I'm like you i prefer super uber moist things when it comes to cakes, brownies etc. I personally Do not like crumbly things even my biscuits need to be moist more like croissant like. Not crumbly fall apart biscuits. I like putting things like eggs between them for a sandwich. I need a sturdy no fall apart biscuit fer that lol.. Take care
That looks yummy! Btw, when I'm perfecting a recipe, that also keeps my mind absorbed at day and night. And I also have dreams about food... constantly. Usually is something like I find a super cool place with lots of awesome looking pastries, but I also dream about the changes I can make to a recipe . Things like that ;)
Same! It tasted great but it didn't look as pretty as hers. My batter looked the same consistency as hers, but both my blueberries and peach slices were buried.
I rode my bike to this Apple orchard today and had an Apple cider slushi and a cinnamon sugar doughnut. It reminded me of fall so much. Summer is beautiful tho. Nothing like a great sweat in the Sun! :D Love your videos laura! You're gna turn me into a great wife one day hahah!! :* :* :D
hii!!! Laura I already did this recipe. taste yummi but I had a problem. my fruits were under the cake haah. I don't know if the batter was to liquid haha.
For the people that are asking why it's called a coffee cake when there's no coffee in it, it's a coffee cake because you eat it when you drink coffee.

This would be good with some lemon zest added to the batter, yum.
WONDERFUL PIE!!!
Those peaches look incredibly delicious!!!!!
they look like they're so sweet!!!!
ikr
They'er not peaches, they'er nectarines. You have to de-fuze a peach, not a nectarine.
Agreed!

Nutella ice cream!!! (not semifrido) homemade Nutella!!!!! Nutella cupcakes!!
Just looks aaahhhhmmazing! Thanks Laura, love it as always 😘
made this and the cake was a bit dense, would recommend adding more vanilla but other than that still very good!

Same here! :(
Me too :-((
Just made it, turned out good. It's delicious, only thing is my peaches just got buried by the cake batter as it baked..
I made this on Sunday night. My peaches were buried in the batter as it baked as well.
This happened to me as well. Anyone know now why the fruit didn't stay on top like Laura's?
Maybe your batter was too thin and not as thick as her. Add less milk next time
Same! It tasted great but it didn't look as pretty as hers. My batter looked the same consistency as hers, but both my blueberries and peach slices were buried.
i used half the milk..same result
"I'm gunna do bc im having a moment and I like to be alone " 😂😂😂
after she said about using "my" in speech i was just noticing every "my" she used after lol
