I keep coming back to this whenever I feel a bit down, it’s so funny and delightfully playful. It was before I was born and still so great to watch. Loved Bruce Forsyth, such a generous entertainer, and Adam Faith was lovely
Since I found it recently, I have to listen to it almost daily. It makes me happy & sad at the same time. I can't listen to Adam Faith singing it on his own, without hearing Brucie also...🤷♂️(a child of the 60s)
This is brilliant. From the days when entertainment meant pure talent and making people laugh. Bruce was a very good singer and Adam was gorgeous as ever.
TheShizue777 I may be confusing him with someone else but, I'm pretty sure he put a couple of novelty records out in the late 60s/early 70s? One about 'buying British' and one about decimalisation?
Bruce was a fantastic all round entertainer. He could sing, dance, play the piano, and obviously was a great comic and compere. Also king of the catchphrase.
Fantastic. Bruce and Adam at there best. 55 years ago, this seems impossible. I would love to know if Bruce still remembers this night at the Pallladium. He has meet so many stars.................... R.i.p Adam, 12 years ago since we lost you. Where has the time gone.
If this doesn't make anyone smile they must be dead I was 5 then Adams song what do you want was the 1st pop song I remember great singer 2 great entertainers don't make them like that any more
qtpysusie54 it's great he's still and I hope he stays with us for a long while to come, but I think he is definitely retired though due to a health decline. His last TV appearance being November 2015.
My above comment is so morbid a month later, all hope wasted there... but I know he had wonderful life and I believe in afterlife so I'm sure that Bruce will now be entraining those up in the sky forever more.
Magic! I was eight at the time. "Sunday Night At The London Palladium" (LIVE) was an institution back then. Great upload - thanks muchly. Good old Brucie - he MUST have a portrait in his attic!
I remember Adam on John Freeman's 'Face to Face' where he was shown to be a very cultured and intelligent young man who was investing his money and not a just a dimwit as many people thought at the time.
Adam (Terry Nelhams) was a versatile singer/actor. I saw him in the stage musical 'Budgie' with Anita Dobson who also sings. They individually perform a version of "One of my weaker moments" and others. The show had a short run partly due to the economic situation at the time but was very enjoyable. A record exists of the music from the show set in Old Compton Street in Soho.
It appears Bruce Forsyth may have invented the "Beatle" haircut - if this is truly 1960. John & Paul got their haircuts in 1961, so Bruce must have been ahead of his time.
This is an absolute gem. Rest in peace Bruce and Adam. Both sadly missed.
Two of the finest entertainers that we ever produced. RIP both.
entertainment at it's best, so different back then, great times
It was 1960 and Adam Faith was a HUGE star but remained generous, polite & down to earth. RIP Adam...
RIP Brucie.
I keep coming back to this whenever I feel a bit down, it’s so funny and delightfully playful. It was before I was born and still so great to watch. Loved Bruce Forsyth, such a generous entertainer, and Adam Faith was lovely
Me too ….filmed way before I was born. I always felt I was born too late, love ‘60’s music
Since I found it recently, I have to listen to it almost daily. It makes me happy & sad at the same time. I can't listen to Adam Faith singing it on his own, without hearing Brucie also...🤷♂️(a child of the 60s)
What talented performers we used to have back then! Oh bring back the 60's xxx R.I.P Adam and Brucie xx
One of the truly great moments in stage history. I'd give my eye-teeth to have been at The Palladium that night.
me too..
God bless Bruce forsyth a true TV legend he will be sadly miss
This was true entertainment by two true stars. Wonderful happy memories.
Loving this. Bruce and Adam are both truce legend's
Bruce was the absolutely best . He made everything look so simple . This is absolutely brilliant .looks like a Royal command performance. ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Colin Mennie
The reason brucie made everything look "simple" was everything he did was simple. The man had no discernible talent whatsoever.
@@hyena131 Bruce had in fact a pretty good voice 😉
@@terjesamuelsen9509
And a pretty good chin to boot...marvellous.
What a charmer Adam is. 5'5" of pure delight.

The first time I have found Bruce laugh out loud funny. Brilliant!
Fantastic entertainment from two much missed stars 👍
When entertainers entertained, were talented and funny...this show happened a good number of years before I was even born.
I'm 40. Way before my time. The best piece of television i've seen to date. loved it.
once you hear this version it will always be this version that will play in your head when you hear the original non duet version.

1st time I have ever seen this brilliant don't get stuff like that these days. I was born 1960
Say, Bruce is great. I never knew he could sing. I only remember him from game shows. I love Adam Faith. Great performers both of them.
Bruce Forsyth could pretty much do anything
Fantastic. Bruce and Adam at there best. 55 years ago, this seems impossible. I would love to know if Bruce still remembers this night at the Pallladium. He has meet so many stars.................... R.i.p Adam, 12 years ago since we lost you. Where has the time gone.
Dave Tomlin i am 12 and i have no idea who that is....
If this doesn't make anyone smile they must be dead I was 5 then Adams song what do you want was the 1st pop song I remember great singer 2 great entertainers don't make them like that any more
Fantastic
What a great laugh, for us oldies.
This is delightful! And Mr Forsyth is now 89 years old and still kickin!
qtpysusie54 it's great he's still and I hope he stays with us for a long while to come, but I think he is definitely retired though due to a health decline.
His last TV appearance being November 2015.
Yes, 89 great years Brucie, you had a wonderful life.

And yet he went bust. So sad.
Great !
brilliant
Now that's what I call entertainment.
Brucie is so lovely
Never heard of that song before.
Me either!
Never knew Bruce could sing!
What a funny funny guy Sir Bruce is. This is hilarious.
Wow
God helps those who help themselves.
Bruce should have been Knighted donkeys years ago, not such a short time ago, a real entertainer and a legend.
I love this. I was a huge Adam Faith fan from 59-62 until the Beatles came along!
RIP Brucie
now we know where Lenard Rossiter got the idea for Rigby in rising damp lol

It was so strange watching Bruce doing this. It felt like watching Michael Crawford or someone similar
A lot of it going about.
I keep wanting to add 'Pour me, a cup, of tea'
Rip
It appears Bruce Forsyth may have invented the "Beatle" haircut - if this is truly 1960. John & Paul got their haircuts in 1961, so Bruce must have been ahead of his time.
Adam's leather jacket was powder blue.
Lock it...
Nice little vid. How tall was Adam tho? Seems like barely reaching 5'8"?
5 5 tó 5 6
