You're the first person to actually get their hands on this anvil on UA-cam and I'm so excited to see it used and see if it really could be the best starter anvil that is more than just a crappy anvil shaped object. I'm really looking forward to seeing part 2. Congrats on the jump on this one for your first video. Keep it coming.
Now Harbor freight needs to make a 150 lbs version of that thing for around the $200 - $250 range and the Smith's of the world would be beating down their door. Change the hardy hole to a 1" while they are at it. HF are you listening?
For the price I don't think you can go wrong. I've owned more anvils than I can remember, that Doyle has a beautiful horn that looks a bit like my Scott miniboy anvil which I really like working on. I'd still rather have my Emerson but it's over $700 more expensive.
I would wait, I’m looking forward to his torture test, also in the part 2 video I’ll be showing some issues I’ve found with mine. If possible, inspect the anvil before you leave the store.
Thanks for posting and congratulations on starting your channel! Subscribed! I look forward to seeing more of your content and watching your channel grow.
I literally got the last one of these on the shelf yesterday. They restocked with something like 5 or 6 a day or two before. Harbor Freight can't keep these things on the shelves.
Us small channels gotta stick together man! Good luck on your UA-cam journey and if you need help with something drop me a line I'd be glad to help! 😊 I'm definitely going to be getting one of these for my own shop, I'm currently working on a piece of rr track. It works but this will be way better.
I was gifted one of the og blue HF anvils years ago, been used and abused. Until my budget increase, the new one would be a improvement for now, as I get back into blacksmithing. Would love a heavier one though!

Checked my harbor freight and no luck.

Great job on your first video ! ( subscribed ) Can't wait to see part 2. Hope your channel does well !
Should I buy one now or after Christ center ironworks does his torture test on it? That is the question.
I'm waiting
I'm sure these will be backordered up the wazoo so either way you probably won't be getting one for a while anyway 😅

It will definitely be better to forge on than the railroad track. Inspect before you buy if they will let you open the box.
Thanks for posting, well done.

Why wouldn’t they have mounting holes ?
