Tbh they’ve been stepping it up on trucks. Ford Ranger had the option for a 10 speaker + subwoofer B&O play system. That’s the same brand as Audi. The new Taco JBL will have w similar setup, with portable speaker that also acts as the center dash woofer.
Awesome review thank you so very much. Definitely very helpful. Especially considering it’s been so difficult. Trying to get these vehicles to a dealership but again thank you for your review. Keep them coming. Thanks again we appreciate your time.
would you recommend a DAC of any kind , maybe an Audioquest Cobalt ? Just would like to hear your thoughts about incorporating a DAC , also do you think the Kicker bass add on would be worth the upgrade?
I have a bose system in my new yukon and it's awful. Sound is garbled and nothing makes it better. This was an upgraded system for the Denali package but the radio in my prius is better sounding. My 22 ram limited had a Harmon kardin that was designed just for that truck and that is the best sound system I've ever had. It's too bad GM and Harmon doesn't team up
Yeah. I am downsizing from a 2019 Ram with the Harmon Kardon and I bet I will miss that the most. With that said, the Harmon system also lacked base, and I thought it was soft and needed a higher coming level. Overall it is clear as day and the dsp is great. I hope the Bose on my AT4 build will suffice me
I personally am unimpressed. Just bought an AT4x today. It's lacking all across the board. Mostly bass, it's anemic. Highs will surely break on lots volume if I just add a sub. Jeep did it right with the Alpine in the gladiator Rubicon. I'm pulling the bose speakers out. Adding a dsp, and buying new speakers.
The Bose system is good in my 2023 Colorado … as many might expect; could use a bit more low-end (bass). I mostly listen to rock & country; might add a Kicker sub under the rear seat.
Hey there! When reviewing this car with the bass all the way up, did you notice an audible shaking sound from trim in the car? I'm a person that loves bass but absolutely hates when the doors rattle because of it.
I have the exact same system. I must have done something because my valume stays the same. Valume does not turn up or down. Any advise for technical dummies like me? Still getting to know this stuff.
Would you say this is the same as the previous gen truck. my 2018 canyon has Bose, but i see the 2023 is the same 7 speaker design with amp. the whole point of the 2023 was suppose to be different inside and out yet still the same 7 speaker with no sub just 2 woofers on the front doors
If I build and price on the website the at4 wasn’t showing the Bose on any packages. I wonder if it was only on the pre production version or if it is on a package and just wasn’t listed.
This stereo SUCKS! sounds very good but every 12 months needs to be replaced, My Canyon is at the dealer for the second year now with a bad stereo and my partner new GMC with only 4 months has the same problems!
For the kind of vehicle it is, glad people who like music won't be punished for wanting a truck. Definitely an adequate system for this vehicle.

Is there no subwoofer with the Bose system?
no but i think you can get the kicker one
Happy to see this review because the new 2023 colorado should have the same system in the Z71 I believe. Miss my camaro’s bose system every day🥲.

I have the Bose sound system in my 2023 canyon AT4 and it’s honestly underwhelming I’m not impressed at all
Based on your experience, is the stock audio system sufficient or would it still be necessary to upgrade to the bose?
@@onemileattatime2642 I personally don’t think it’s worth the upgrade. The stock system sounds pretty good for what it is
Is there no sub?

My 2023 Denali has a major driver side switch rattle when I bump the Bose...frustrating.
The Bose system in the 05 Silverado I’m driving has not been beaten by any car old or new. I’m wondering how this compares to

what are you talking about 6 speaker , they dont have a 6th speaker its not an option as far as i know
It actually has 7.
Nice

Stand-alone option
@@Jorts-W-Bush they come with the Bose as standard sound system?
@@Jorts-W-Bush thanks, I see why I missed it. There was another tab for interior options.
@@spennyfras6625 No. It is a stand-alone option under the Interior Options menu of the build & price tool.

Can you test the base model stereo in the canyon/Colorado??
Actually, I always made fun of Bose but this sounded decent tbh!
Would you say it's worth the $500 upgrade price?
No, you can do way better for 750
@@Kyle-fu6enthat makes no sense .
@@MatthewPacer you can put together a way better system for 750 bucks than the Bose
Does this come with an external amplifier or no? That 3 band eq is very underwhelming for me 😂. Used to my fancy aftermarket 13 band eq 😂.
does the seat rattle with the bass
I suppose the base audio would be in the C tier.
