Hi Simon. Another epic video. I love the photo of the trunk and branch with snow on, pointing into the distance. Also the music you choose for your videos is brilliant as well.
Hi Colin Sadly I’m not but my secular work takes me up that way quite often. I will stick a flag in google maps and with check it out when I’m next up there. Thanks for the tip 👌
Hi Simon, I’m a teenager that wants to get more into photography. I’m shooting on a canon eos t6i. I would like to upgrade but i don’t have a big budget. What would you recommend for someone that wants do landscape, wildlife, as well as a little bit of street photography. Thanks, Benji
Hi Benji thanks for your question. When it comes to advice regarding gear It can be a tricky subject. Firstly I would say to anyone starting out…get the best you can with the budget you have, but spend your budget wisely. Will a £500 camera allow me to make better images than a £5000 camera? The answer would probably be no. The new camera may have more megapixels etc but when you’re starting out that’s not really going to be an issue. Where I’m going with this is that if you have an tight budget, which you say you have, I would look firstly look at spending money on a more premium lens to put on the front of your camera rather than spend money on the camera itself. I’m not fully knowledgeable about the canon system as I shoot in a Sony a7iii, which is quite and old camera now and I would so love to upgrade to an a7rv but with a price tag of a few thousand pounds it’s alittle out of my budget. I did however spend a lot on my Gmaster lenses both the 24mm and the 100 to 400mm which render fantastic quality images on my old a7iii. And I’m very happy with the images it takes. I ditched the ‘kit’ lens that came with the camera as the images were ‘soft’ and not sharp at all. Hopefully this goes some way to answering your question!! Spend your money on the glass in front of your camera and work on your composition of your images and you will make images to be proud of. It will be great to see some of your images 👍👍
