Hi thanks for your comment. Yes I like the black and white too as the green and yellow can be alittle over powering! Fantastic location well recommended if you get the chance 👍👍
Hello, Simon. You are in an incredibly beautiful environment. It screams take a picture of me. And you do the environment justice with the beautiful photos you take there. Really, you deliver a beautiful piece of photography there. I am jealous of the beautiful environment that we do not have here in the Netherlands. Also, the explanation you give with each composition is perfect. You show that you know what you are doing, friend. You did a heck of a job, my friend. Antoine.
Hi Antoine I’m glad you like this video. It’s such a magic woodland. I popped there again the day before yesterday, as I’m down in the West Country for a few days visiting family. If ever you find yourself over here in the UK feel free to contact me and I’ll gladly show you few good places to take images. 👍👍
That place is absolutely beautiful. I would not be able to concentrate on taking the pictures. I can see why it struck writers like Conan Doyle as a great setting for a story.
Yes it got alittle overwhelming at times. I had a polarising filter on also which, although cutting down some of the glare it really boosted the colour too! Well worth the visit if ever you get the chance!👍👍👍
Very nice indeed Simon and of course inspiring too. I'm an old git living in Cornwall and although I can drive to all my favourite places, I then can't climb over the blooming walls or stiles, so good to see you visiting them for me 👍
Hi John glad you like the film, it’s such a shame you can’t get to some of the locations some of them can be quite the challenge though! I hope you are able to make the most of those you can get to. 👍👍
Hi Simon. Thank you for another great video and a lovely location. It's funny about you saying that the green glow was really strong. It was the same when I was in my local stone quarry a few weeks ago.
Stunning Simon! Here in the flat region in Belgium we don't have those woods with mosses and boulders, but your style would be also mine. Thanks for sharing!!!
Hi Walter where I live in Yorkshire is very flat also. It’s nice to make the most of it when you get to visit these types of woodlands. I grew up in this area in Devon but this was my first visit to these woodlands and I’m so glad I did!👍👍
Wonderful video. I visited Wistmans Wood last year and struggled with the compositions. I ended up walking the path between the river and the wood and took some images there. I will definitely be returning this year and will use some of these shots you took as markers.
Thanks Doug beautiful part of the world. Until 9 years ago I lived down there myself, and although I went up in the moor regularly this was my first visit to Wistmans!! Hope to be down there again in a couple of weeks 👍👍
Oooooo!!!!
Love the shots in colour and mono - my slight preference is for the wispy black and white images. Looks like a great photo location...

Hi Greg magical place isn’t it. I didn’t get chance to check out the river area but will do next time 👍👍
Some great shots (location not that far from where I live )
