@ No sir I’m in GA, I would like to end up in East Tennessee before it’s all said and done. I’m not sure if it will be the best grill on the market but I can live with what it does and $1k is way better in my budget than $3-4k+
Great video. I have a Timberline XL and love it. I would not have expected a difference in the cook so no surprise there. My previous grill was about the Woodbridge size (which is 860 sq in cooking area) and I then got the Timberline XL because I just wanted bigger (It is 1320 sq in cooking area which is 53.5% larger) and I did want the induction cooktop and the storage cabinet. Yes a lot more money for the same cook but I did want the size and I know the bells and whistles don’t cook any better (like having the wireless meater thermometer built in) but when I fill it up with different meats all at the same time (and I do fill the whole thing up sometimes) I really just wanted the size and I must admit I do enjoy bells and whistles too even though I pay too much for some. Great smokers no matter which you choose. Cheers, Mark
Thanks for this, it's a good reality check when getting a bit carried away with the bells and whistles on these pellet grills. Woodridge pro and a spare 3K it is!
Good video my friend but the truth is the cooking chambers are almost identical to each other. What you get are bells and whistles from the Timberline XL that makes it about $2500 more in price. With the Timberline you get an induction cooktop, a full color digital display and a full cabinet underneath. I'm sure I'm probably missing some other items as well and that is what makes it more money. Whether that's something people want to pay for or not I don't know. I personally bought the Ironwood XL, it fit what I wanted at that price point. I like the Super Smoke mode and keep warm mode on my Ironwood. Also, the Woodridge was not out yet when I bought my Ironwood.
Thanks bro - wanted to compare capabilities and not necessarily features but to see if there was a difference - Thanks Bro. Another video coming Friday
I was looking at either the woodbridge pro or ironwood . But today I came across a timberline at 1200 off so 2500 and lets just saying Im itching to just pull the trigger and go all out! Lol
what a lot of other reviewers are saying is the smoke flavour is lacking the new woodridge, and im surprised you never mentioned it either. maybe its just the use of super smoke on other higher model units.
@ I have owned two traegers, Weber smoke fire and camp chef. Tier list goes. Offset > Kamado > Kettle > Pellet > Oven. The difference between pellets and Kamados is staggering. Between kamados and offsets equally as staggering. Do a real world test, you’ll never look back.
@@CookitwithTim then you already know lol, the pellets are great for ease of use. But lack any meaningful smoke flavor. I had a reverse flow before a traditional offset. I miss the reverse flow, held better temps and cooked faster.
I've been looking for someone to do this video, thanks for making it!

Great comparison! Thanks for the relevant content 👍

Ordering the Woodridge Pro tomorrow, thank you for the comparison and GO VOLS
Yay. Go Vols. your a VOLS fan I assume? East TN by chance. Can't be a good $1000 Pellet Grill

@ Honestly - I have cooked on it a few times and it’s a very good grill. Maybe not as booszzy as the timberline xl but at $1000 good price
@ yea sir I agree totally. I’ve bought the Flatrock and absolutely love it so I figure the Woodridge will be comparable or better at the least
@@bubbabailey1984 How do you like the Flatrock? Working on getting one for early spring!

Great vid, could u do one using the super smoke mode vs woodridge with out n seeing if there a diffeence

@@MrBtown101 I didn’t use super smoke. I actually did mention the smoke flavor. You didn’t listen carefully near the end.
easy bake oven off, pellet grills are so easy to use but they give no smoke flavor.
@@fishbone937 You must have never used a traeger

@ I have a Kamado myself, a 250g reverse flow stick burner and Traeger for a pellet grill still works great.

Did you use the super smoke setting?
I did not - kept everything the exact same and they even used the same amount of pellets.
with my xl you dont even need to use, it smokes the whole area up!!!!!!
