Carleigh is so adorable that even the hardcore carnivores can’t get mad at her for she talking about eating more plants. She is a good ambassador for the plant based community.

A culture that eats more plant based and doesn't feel it has to eat dead animals to celebrate holidays is a culture I want to explore. Compassion is strength.

I just got her book and it is amazing. I am a beginner learning how to cook vegan. The book is easy and has pictures of all the ingredients. It is by far my favorite cookbook. The minestrone and creamy mushroom pasta are amazing!

I'm so thrilled to learn that 20 & 30 somethings are really open to plant based eating. Perhaps the world might actually see a time when miles of dreadful feeding lots are transformed into organic gardens and slaughter houses are shut down. Keep screaming.

She is awesome and I’m buying the book, but I think the comment that there were no easy plant base recipes out there ignores the great contributions of Mary McDougall, Chef AJ, Juliana Hever, Jill Dalton, Dillon Holmes, The Krocks, Brittany Jorudi and so many more…..

This is a great interview, I went vegan for environmental and ethical reasons originally but the improvement in my health is one of the best parts, my dad had stage 0 colon cancer so he was lucky they found it early and has now greatly improved his health on a plant based diet ❤️

as a country girl i was so healthy and skinny i moved out of home and moved to big city and got away from that lifestyle. . i was gaining weight fast even though i started going to the gym daily. back then i didn't know if it was really that bad, as everyone was doing it. i walked 4 miles a day and still was putting on the weight. my skin was not full of pimples and i was put on pills to help, and it did not help at all. I tried counting my calories it only worked for a while, then i got bad PMS because the doctors said keep away from butter, use margarine. and my blood pressure plummeted to very low and i was getting dizzy all because i was told to use no salt. we need salt to balance our electrolytes.
I will not use oil in a bottle as it can be carcinogenic creates free radicals if it sits in a bottle, because air is in the bottle. best to press your own olives fresh that day..
watch sugar its terrible. on youtube watch...THE EFFECTS OF SUGAR ON A RATS BRAIN. you will never want sugar again. its related to( dementia.) diabetes of the brain.

In short let me say this, "Everyone, almost everyone, who became vegan, is faced at one point or another, to become your own chef! Example, ME. Being a man, and not even knowing what kitchen is like, and stuff! Fast forward just few months, making my own home made kimchi 🙌😆🌱". It's this benefit no one talks, when shifted to plant based, you will improve your cooking skills 100%. Even with no background or whatsoever.

It could be helpful to many people if you could do a show for people who live far from grocery stores and don’t have access to fresh produce. There are many areas in the western USA where people may only go shopping once or twice a month and therefore buy mostly canned produce.

I eat wfpb mostly but if I’m eating a salad, I try not to drink a cold juice or smoothie. I also eat fruit after they have sat on the countertop to warm back up after I took them out of the fridge. Sauerkraut too has to sit out to warm up. Why? Because food requires a certain warm temperature to be digested. Too cold and there will be less digestion, rumblings and fermentation, and diarrhea, even before you have absorbed the nutrients! I eat more cooked veggies and eat them while they’re still warm. I also drink warm teas and not eat too much fibrous food especially if I have eaten a cold salad.

when I was ten my dad bought a box of cereal and he said this is the last time we buy this and he said it was because it was using BHT and BHA he was totally against all of it. When I got older the fast food industry was now picking up quickly and he thought that they would destroy peoples health. And because other kids started to love the craze, my father didnt want me to not know what it was like to have fries or junk food. so I was allowed to go once a month. even then he hated it. hard call for a father that use to have 4,000 acres of land. and born in 1906. he was against so much because he seen the changes in the industrial world. etc. can you imagine born in 1906 and then going through so many changes. lets just say i had photos of him driving a wagon train..even my friends in their 70s and 80s had fathers younger than mine. by the way i was the oops ..doctor said he was shooting blanks, haha not so 😁. I learned so much from his old fashion farming etc. At 15 i made my own clothes . canned the produce on the wood stove. raised bread and baked it on the stove.
I remember dad say to me, go outside and get our lunch and supper. once a month we went to the store. so times have sure changed.

Best way to eliminate food desserts is to have a safe and secure neighborhood through excellent policing. Crime is what keeps supermarkets from the area. Defunding the police and lax District Attorneys who are woke but soft on crime exacerbate the food dessert issue. Create safe neighborhoods, go after crime and drug trafficking, and those food desserts can disappear.

in the 60s i was raised with gardens and no sprays no chemicals. we had fish from the ocean and dad added seaweed and wood ashes to our gardens. then we moved inland and we still had our wood stove and chemical free gardens. this time he added wood ashes only.
when we had meat the supplier grew the animals without the hormones, and his feed was grass fed. our apple orchard and cherry trees were never sprayed, but rather he would use a old farmers trick that has been around for years, and that is to do with smoking the trees out with dry leaves in a wheel barrel. we had a neighbour who would give us free honey in exchange for boxes of windfalls. his bees would pollinate our trees.
so since the world is so polluted as it is now, even organic meat has a problem. and our vegetables have a problem ..we are destroying our world. but no fret. God will soon step in and fix things. he says he will bring to ruin those ruining the earth. and under his government only righteousness will prevail. Psalms 37; 9, 10,11, 29 .. revelation 21; 3,4 no more sickness. Daniel 2;, 44 one world government as Jesus told us to pray for in his pray. yes no more crime no more sickness death. etc. that's what i hang on to and live to see.

grow your own food off the balcony if you live in the city and have no land. I grow tomatoes peppers lettuce all greens, beans. as long as it has good light. experiment. but never use plastic because even though it says food safe. because as the plastic heats it leaks poisons. make sure your balcony is safe and wont fall on people below, ask the landlord. .
