  • Your one stop shop for all your automotive needs, from routine maintenance to high performance, we have you covered. RCautoworks was started by Robert Reese in his parents two car garage over 15 years ago with the mindset of helping others in need, to this day that mindset is still our number one priority here. Rather it be a simple brake question, or a project you may be working on yourself, we're here to help.
    Robert's passion of helping people translated into automotive repair where he was determined to not only help people fix their cars but help them understand what actually was wrong and give them options that they could afford to fix the problem. Way to many times we hear people that are scared of being ripped off by a mechanic or not understanding what exactly they're paying for. Our goal here is not only help you by repairing your vehicle but help you understand what exactly is going on and giving you different options. Our number one interest is looking out for the customers best interest. Every year we continue to grow and make your life that much easier. We have multiple technicians in house that are trained in this field to help get your car back on the road as quick as possible and not cause you to take a second loan out on your house. On the high performance side we have a dyno in house (dyno jet) and also do all our fabrication in house. From welding stainless steel to aluminum, we have you covered. We also deal with over 1,000 vendors so if you don't see a part listed, email us or call and we'll add it for you. All our sales agents are also passionate about the automotive field and its a hobby for them as well, so we won't just sell parts that make us money, we sell parts that we use on our own vehicle and know will get the job done on yours. No job is to little or small, don't hesitate to ask for help, don't hesitate to stop by, we're here to help. If you'd like a shop tour, feel free to give us a call or an email and we can schedule a sit down with you and show you around the shop.
    We'd love to hear from you, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. We're here to help out and don't mind answering questions.

    Do a video about the old school nology spark plug wires vs. The ngk blue wires!
    That was a big gimmick back in the day.

    Thank you for answering my question I’m probably going to throw questions at you now. Can you daily drive a car with a built cylinder head?
    Can you daily drive with an aluminum radiator (something like a koyo or mishmoto rad) during the winter?
    Do aftermarket cams last when you daily your car?

    Great videos. Super informative. Are you still offering appointments for guys to come in and talk about their build goals, etc? Can you talk about boost, e85, and water-methanol?

    Myth 1, you don't need a blow off valve, try it and within a few months the thrust bearing in the turbo will severely wear leading to turbo failure, ask me how I know.

    Will a fluidampr make more power when NA? My 04 S2000 is rusted and I have no idea of the stock rubber is still doing its job. I was thinking of just replacing it so I am ready to boost it. Possibly do some cooling mods and catch can beforehand as well. Can you speak to that at all? Btw, you did the tune on it with a Haltech Platinum Pro and it’s great! Thanks again.

      Unless you plan on doing a larger build, stick with a new OEM one. A pulley will not add power, I'll actually be discussing this in upcoming episodes so keep an eye out. And thanks for being a customer here ❤️. We make and sell everything to go turbo so if you need anything feel free to reach out.

      Yes! You're the first comment about that. I'm glad someone did, and maybe he just needs to hit vtec more.

    Can you touch on cold start tuning. What makes it idle high low or rough.

    • @RCautoworks
      @RCautoworks  5 місяців тому

      The idle air control valve duty cycle can be adjusted per temp. As the temp heats up the idle air control closes more and more.

    You can probably expect a little less gas mileage with an 800hp block vs a 500hp right? Let's say if fuel system and other variables are the same

      Hmmm, this may be a good one to discuss cause I think the answer may surprise you.
