If you are in Florida you must use what the fern growers use and screen the garden from the hot sun. I live in Pierson the Fern Capital and all of the growers use this black type of screen to cover acres of their plants. So this year we got some of that fernery screen and it has be a life saver for us but now we have been hit by the squash bore and squash bug/stink bug so we now have to rip out our beautiful patch of pumpkin, squash and possible the cucumbers? Sucks but I will plant again in September because that is when these pest will not be in season I have heard. My tomatoes are doing fine and potatoes so I will be planting more potatoes.

I saw another video that used a food processor to blend 3 cups mint 7 garlic cloves then added that to 4 cups water 2tsp cayenne powder, boilsimmer 1hr then let it sit overnight. In the morning she strained it and put it in a hand spray bottle and being careful not to spray on blossoms. Then sprayed again a few days later if she missed any. It’s on YT.

Yeah I hate spider mites with a PASSION. They've destroyed half of my indoor plants this year. I messed up and didn't quarantine a plant I bought for long enough and they decimated everything. 😭

Spider mites are the toughest pest for me to get rid of. It seems like no matter what I do they come back. I've had limited success vacuuming them off with a shop vac and spraying 9-12% hydrogen peroxide on them

same EXACT thing happened to me this past winter. i bought a discounted reject plant from lowes that i thought i could rehabilitate. i didn't know there were spider mites in the plant...out of 20 plants i brought in over the winter they destroyed like 16 of them. i almost want to give up on bringing plants indoors anymore

I have something like that on my apple trees, but on closer inspection they have worms within the web. So I have pulled them off manually, web, eggs and caterpillars!

I use lost coast plant therapy for any soft body pests. Would help with the spider mites and there is cheaper alternatives that are all natural

When temps and humidity get this high it takes out the tomatoes every year . Some years are worse .
