OMG! thank you so so so much! i didn't know about rotation of that yellow end of the brush. It was totaly stuck! sooooo much hair build up inside that it wasn't rotating at all! now my roomba is brought back to life thanks to you!
This was the issue for me too. When I pulled off the yellow cap, the axle came off with it. I had to use pliers to get the axle out and then clean the inside of the brass bearing as well as the outside of the axle before putting it all back together. After that they both spun freely and it's back in action. Thanks for the video!
Thank you so much! I took"My Girl" aka Roomba through all the steps you shared. It was the final step where dog hair had gotten into the area above the wheels. So happy now.
Thanks, and it’s in my favorites. I do have a question. I do have a 2 beep error. But on the top, what is the blinking red light on top mean. Both of them.
I have not heard of that. If you want to try it then I would suggest being careful not to get it on any electrical components. You wouldn't want to fry something.
I had this problem but the hair removal didnt work. What i didnt notice was that on one of the brushes the metal part of the yellow cap was stuck to the brush. I needed to remove that and clean it. This fixed it for me.Both bushes should spinn when you slide your hands over them.
In my case I didn't get the error #2 (980 model) until I put the BRAND NEW rollers in. Then I get the error #2 after 3-5 min run time. Putting the OLD rollers back in it runs fine. However the old rollers are worn down a bit, so I'd like to use the new ones. I did check the alignment of the new rollers, they spin fine. All is good. Any thoughts?
@@SomethingStrange910 yes - I kept taking them in and out and tried it. Then I put them in and moved one slightly to one side and the other to the other side and it worked. After that even when I am cleaning them and putting them back in I haven't had any more issues .
Could have used a hand held vacuum to suck dirt instead of throwing dirt around using high pressure air gun.. lol :).. just a feedback coz apparently it created a whole mess around.
Just an FYI I pulled my rollers and the shaft did appear short like I'm your video. But after pulling the yellow ends out I discovered there was a build up of hair wrapped around the shaft which was pushing the yellow pieces out and making the exposed shaft shorter.
14 means the Roomba is not detecting an installed bin. I would remove the bin, clean out any debris that could be blocking it, and then reinstall it. This should clear the error.

Thank you very much. Indeed, there were so much buildup inside that caused the problem. It works...
You're welcome!
First, thank you!! 2nd, some other person suggested putting a few drops of oil in the motor, to help regain power? Your thoughts?

Thanks for the vedio
Most welcome

@@EggheadFixers Didnt need too what i described above fixed the issue :)

Glad to hear it!!

You're welcome
In older roombas, it’s called the brushes in the brush cage.
Good to know👍

That is strange:/ Did you get generic brand rollers? It could be they are not quite the right fit.
@@EggheadFixers - no they were directly from iRoomba.
@@dagijohnson25 Are the new ones snapping in correctly? Sometimes the new one won't snap in all the way. It may take a couple tries.
Man, I have the exact same problem... Were you ever able to resolve it? Good to know that I'm not the only one! TIA!

Good suggestion lol
Even the spinning issue can be fixed, but man it's exhausting!
So true!! They can be such a pain in the butt

What is # 14 error?

Isn't there a vacuum cleaner for problems like this? I'd HATE to blow all that dust all over - like into my nose and overactive immune system. ?
Yes you can use a vacuum
Because I have the same concerns, I used a leaf blower outside. Worked great.
@@resilientmoney haha that's awesome!
