    What do you think of the IW3536 Aquatimer? Do you think they should bring back the design of the IWC GST collection to the Aquatimer? Should they double down on dive watches and take the fight to the Rolex Submariner & Omega Seamaster? Let me know what you think in the comments section.

    One of the best watch designs ever made and except from the lug2lug size, imo its the perfect watch.
    Nice review

      Thanks man 🙏🏼
      I hope they bring it back, if they can find a way to improve the lug to lug they’d have a killer diver on their hands 🔥🔥🔥

    I'm wearing my AT right now. Fantastic watch: Super accurate and goes with anything. My favorite IWC by a long shot.

    Thanks for the video! The pre-Richemont IWC’s are where it’s at. I have/had Subs, SD’s, Seamasters, etc., over the years and the IWC 3536-01 Aquatimer is THE one watch that I will never part with. It has the tritium dial/bezel and is very legible, lightweight and comfortable. I also currently have a 3706 on bracelet and that is another great example of their design philosophy back then. Unfortunately, none of the IWC’s in the current lineup do anything for me. If I ever come across another clean 3536-01, 3706, or Mark XII/XV, I’ll pick them up to have as spares. I like them that much!

    The perfect combination of simplicity and pure class. I wouldn´t hesitate for a second if they bring it back.

    IWC in general is talked about wayy too little. They made some lovely stuff

      For sure, and they have so many hidden gems from the late 90s/early 00s where they over engineered them to way beyond what they’re worth on the pre-owned market, some insane value from these older IWCs :D

      As the owner of four IWCs, I couldn't agree more. Fantastic watches.

    I agree with you that the existing AT line is in need of an update, but I fear that the pricing model they adopt would put it out of my reach 😢. One thing I’ve always appreciated with the IWC divers is the legibility.

      True, if the Ingenieur is anything to go off of then it would be way more expensive than the Aquatimer goes for now, but I think it would be a great move if they just stormed in with an over engineered 2000 meter diver that still undercut Rolex and Omega..doesn’t hurt to dream :)

    One of the best ever made... I am selling the Titanium version now .. I am surprised people are so slow to pick up on what a great watch this is. Every one I have ever owned is a superlative time keeper as well. Usually accurate to +1 a day ... Simply an amazing watch and long overdue for someone to review it here on youtube ... IMHO

      For sure, it's such an underrated piece that deserves way more attention than it ever gets

    There was an early edition with tritium pointer at 12 o’clock and top of the brezel, which is more rare and highly collectible

      Another great example of the crazy attention to detail they put into this watch, never ceases to amaze 🤯

    Love the design and the brand. I could live with a lower WR if that meant a smaller and particularly slimmer watch. In these dimensions, its a not a buy for me and my 17,5cm wrists

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 місяці тому

      Yeah, I think even with 1000m WR they could make it nice and slim, a little smaller and combine that with the over engineering and integrated design to make a killer dive watch that still takes the fight to the Submariner and Seamaster

    Looks like the Sinn watch 🤔

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 місяці тому

      In many ways Sinn has carried on with this insane level of focus on function & purpose on their dive watches - while IWC and many of the other bigger brands have pushed more into the luxury side, Sinn is still putting function and purpose over everything especially on their divers

    That’s a pretty sweet watch, but the date at 3 is always a dealbreaker for me and I also prefer colorful, sunburst dials on divers.
    I have zero need for an over-engineered watch. Not hating on anyone who appreciates one or is say, a stunt driver, but that’s not me.
    My favorite dive watch is modern, unique, symmetrical, and has my favorite sunburst dials - the Oris Aquis.
    Shrug. I don’t use the word “best”
    To me I have watches I love and watches that are my favorites and the odds of anyone agreeing with me is slim, to none. That’s what the hobby is about - self-expression.
    Anyway, nice video. I never knew about this model and if they bring it back I will check it out. Again, a sharp looking diver and I love finish, the exact shade of the titanium.

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 місяці тому

      Ooh my favorite Aquis is the one with the Cherry red dial & the relieved steel bezel (similar bezel style to this IWC)
      While I’m definitely not someone that needs 2000m of water resistance (or even 20 😂) I just love the commitment and overdelivery on this piece - and if it was a bit easier on the lug to lug I’d love to have it, but luckily for me I already have a 41mm titanium integrated bracelet watch to fill that void 😉 thanks for watching & commenting :)
