Looks like another shared universe rabbit-hole and personally i'll just stick with the fatal frame being part the nioh, ninja gaiden, and doa universe because trying to wrap around the canonocity of the games as a single one timeline shared universe can be a huge headache for me so I'll stick with that idea to save myself from it
yeah the whole timeline of these series are so confusing but the arcade games take place in 1999 and 2000, the modern NG Games Sigma and Sigma 2 are during 2002 and 2003, the nes games are 2003-2004, Dead or alive to dead or alive 4 likely 2004-2005 as well in this timeline theory, making Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge in 2006 and Dead or Alive 5 & 6 in 2007. however this is from youtube channel and their theory, Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja never really explain what year the NG and DOA games take place, Nioh is easier to understand timeline but even then it's confusing but considering it's a fictional take on historical events liberties were taken
I'm a big fan of the franchises, especially the NG and DOA characters. This video was spot-on and as a viewer I can really tell you are a fan yourself and not just some random talking youtuber that thinks he knows everything! He would be 7, but as his opponents were mostly humans the game would be a good mission for Jo, or whoever his sensei was, to test his son's abilities as a ninja. The other ninja being another 7ish year old student. My original thought was Hayate, but he'd've been 4, so even if they train from childhood, like historical ninjas, he'd've just started, unlike Ryu.

Nioh can loosely be connected given how Oda Nobugana is a recurring character in W-Orochi games, about Fatal Frame don't remember correctly but pretty sure they had at least one character in one of the games but may be wrong.

Very good and interesting video I never knew of the connection between DoA/NG/Nioh and Fatal Frame. I like to think Senran and Onechanbara are tied somehow to but it’s probably impossible due to different companies and licenses. At most it’s an “Akuma Tekken 7” scenario.
I dunno about Nioh since I haven't played it but the others are. NG and DOA are of course intertwined. But Ayane showed up in Fatal Frame for the WiiU for the story, so it's an automatic connection, there. (Wrote this before I watched the video, lol.)
Also about DOA/NG. Doa has not a some date/like ninja gaiden, cause all timeline has some details of past ( kasumi/ayne village of heian period for example). Or helena ( european 18 - 19 century) Present - characters like hitomi/tina and others who has 80s/90s vibes. And future - doatec line/clones/ mega corporations, robots, etc... Also it has tomonobu itagaki period when story was good. All lines work good. And doa/ng has strong connection in characters. ( Doa ++ - doa ultimate/ ng 1 - ng 2. And games after him. - different period. Doa was built on strong cultural archetypes and symbols, but not strong plot line ( it s just different method of presenting the story, who you can see in classical literature and occult texts for example).

"Dino Crisis," "Dead Rising" and "Resident Evil" could be set in the same Universe, I can't think of any other franchises that are connected to the "Devil May Cry" series, (Some people say it's "Darkstalkers" but it doesn't seem to fit tone for DMC, it kinda fits only something like the "Ghost N Goblins" series)

I’ll be the guy who says it: the DoA volleyball games ruined DoA. The ninjas vs tech company was surprisingly decent. The Beach Volleyball games got old real quick and ruined face of the DoA series and it never looked back. And I hate it.
