Those principles really boil down to being a decent human being! Be humble, rational and consistent while not overthinking everything you want to do!
That's right. Nothing complex about these but will take time and effort to cultivate!
@@OnePercentBetter Absolutely! "Simple" is not the same as "easy"!
And a successful person as well!

What book is this from?
True. One should keep his/her enemies closer after all they are still useful in one way or the other but one must be able to know how to handle them.
Dale Carnegie is such a great author
I imagine the feminists always thinking about imaginary "Nazis".
I was at a really low point, and really needed this video in my life. Thank you for sharing this with the world.
Me watching this knowing im not mentally strong
Watching this DOESN’T mean you’re NOT mentally strong .... I guess it could, but I also know I Mentally strong , and am watching this purely out of curiosity and boredom.
The mind is like a muscle... if you look at someone in the gym who can bench press 300lbs, and you can’t bench 20lbs, all that means is that you’re at the beginning of your journey to increasing your strength. The more time you work on increasing your muscle, the stronger you get. :)
We all have room for improvement :)
You can get there.
If you say it, you are....
Mentally strong people are comfortable in their own skin. It is not stress that is damaging, it is our reaction to it. Thanks for sharing 🖖
A pleasure, old dude.
Stress is a reaction
Yes
One of the hardest thing I ever did was disconnect myself from those pretending to be friends. Hardest was woman I loved for years. It took me years to get over them all but it gave my life all its colors and joy back.
Great tips, one common theme I noticed is a lot is focused on not being afraid to take action and accepting failure is part of the process, just something to learn and grow from
Absolutely.
I just found this channel and it is amazing and very educational. The fact someone is speaking knowledge like this is phenomenal.
I like that you ended the video with a recap. That's great!
What a brilliant video! I need to watch this often! Thank you ☺️
Thank you very much for this video! I am now motivated to be a better version of myself with these wonderful advices.
Number 5 hit home for me . This whole segment was amazing . Great to see this written out like this. Makes me understand it more
I only clicked on the vid because I was laying just like the thumbnail😂

I was very happy and grateful when I got my wheelchair because it meant I could get out and about and continue to volunteer and life would be much happier. It gave me my Independence back.
great I'm in a similar situation I don't have control over my life working a menial job and earning a meager wage taking orders from other people has nothing short than disability and I have accomplished all of this because of my fear and shyness
Thank you for this video. I woke up hurt by someone i loved feeling betrayed and all. I was ready to stay in bed all day and sulk after months of working on myself to not do that and training myself mentally to always keep pushing but this video motivated me to not go back to the old bad habits I used to have and to get back on the track I have been on. Thank you so much. I’m def gonna go buy the physical book.
Hey one percent better,
U have really done a very great job making all these book summary videos.
U are probably the best self improvement channel out there on YT

Thanks bro
#7 gave me a moment of awakening. Thank you One Percent Better.
Much better than I was before..I've learned a lot about myself and others in the last few years and I've come to realize that I had to see to move forward. 👍
Many people fear the unknown of tomorrow through their cultural experiences. You have to, in a sense, risk the strength, to detach from social persuasion. I'm glad I was sent this video link. Good video!
Lovely. This video covered it all. Didnt miss a thing. Hit the spot
I love how the embarrassing text is I listen to Nickelback. That's just funny.
One of the best personality development videos ever. Thank you ❤️

This video is GOLD! Thank you ❤️
Wow so not only am I physically weak but also mentally weak nice!👍🏾😃
The 14th one:
Stop hiding away from life on the internet. You’re just giving yourself small temporary endorphin boosts (like a drug) and it gives you temporary justification for being lazy and not living your life. If you continue down this road you’ll be nothing. Get out there. Start living life. Let go of the internet. If you’re reading this and it triggers you, then I may have just saved your life. Trust me, nobody wants to talk about how dangerous it is to always be on the internet because it’s a safe space for a lot of people, but it’s the root of many peoples issues and they don’t even know it. It’s so bad for you.
But still you are here? :P
THE MATRIX HAS EVERYONE.
What if I really really hate people and warm weather but I live in Caribbean shores? Noup thanks I'm fine here in my fresh room with AC and internet.
I totally agree
i need the internet it's therapeutic to me....chilling on the internet gives me peace in stressful times, i'm not addicted to it but i need it
Thank you for making this video.
Thanks for the great vid and advice 💪
This is very help full.Thank you.
My life my life changed in a heartbeat when one day I walked around the back of the house and found my husband dead on the floor after he'd fell off the roof. That was 13 years ago. We had a son who's 10 years old at the time. I didn't have time to feel sorry for myself. Because of our son I had to get my s*** together
Am sorry about your husband. Its great that you realized how you should look at things and took a crucial step during a tragedy to be an amazing mother. hope you and your son are doing fine. :)
@@revmachine2662 thanks for your lovely words.
Wow. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I can't imagine. Talk about putting someone to the test. A bittersweet example of the power of love for a child. Our love for our children can help get us through the darkest of times. I wish you nothing but love, peace and happiness as you continue on your journey. ♡
damn thats very sad but thank you for sharing this
I'm so sorry of your loss , may God give you strength on your journey
Mentally strong people don't make emotional decisions. They think logically and objectively to make the most rational decision.
Love it
I think this statement is False. The opposite is rather true
@potatotiel are you female?
@potatotiel Just wondering
potatotiel no one asked what you do for a living
Thank you.
Thanks a ton for the great video brother, much love to u
Thank you 😊
Meaningful, thank u for this
I never click on these kind of videos cause i feel like they're never accurate but this was so spot on
After all I've been through in life I'm just grateful to be alive with my loved ones. I have no time for negativity. Life is what you make it. And I desire to have a happy life.
Cheers, time well spent.
Great work. Nice Animation 👏
1,3,4 & 7-13 are my biggest challenges thanks for uploading this video. Let me know when can we get started talking about them
The best part of the video is the recap summary at the end.
Thank you for making this summary 🙏👍🏻
A pleasure!
"Harboring resentment is allowing someone you don't like to live in your head without paying rent"
"Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die"
I heard the program talking through you. "Are you a friend of Bills?"
Brilliant video summary of the book. Really good animation is put in. Appreciate your efforts sir.
And I appreciate you taking the time to share. Thank you Ashish!
Big thank you for this :)
Interesting video. Several of the tips given here I have already arrived at independently on my own within the last couple years. However, the key to realising those insights was for me something that the video does NOT mention - at least not directly: Once I start viewing my own self as an artificial construct created in part by the cultural influences I have absorbed by the society I grew up in, in part by the specific combination of memories I pick as most important for me and the narrative I actively arrange those in RIGHT NOW, it becomes much easier for me to abandon old habits I know to be harmful and change my routine. Granted, this does in part fall into the "don't dwell under the past" category and most of those insights I've arrived at while meditating just as the video instructs me to but the video does not quite put them in those terms. Once I experienced the type of "ego death" I just described, most of the other advice flowed naturally from that once it "clicked".
The Mentally Strong clear 13 points and still have enough juice to leave a comment..
Superstar comment
👏🏼
thank you
Thanks
Basically become a Terminator
It's not only when you hate someone you give em the control over yourself, but also when you love someone.. it's about all the emotions and the expectations you think about. just don't expect anything and life will be easy.
you are right I made that mistake by trying to befriend my boss and I ended up being emotionally wrecked
You are incorrect bro ....if you really love someone it means you are in good health
That's so relevant to people who live in UK! That's a to do list
Thank you
Perfect!!!
This is very helpful.
:)
I dont do any of these things. Good video and i hope it gives clarity to people who needs it. Wish you all the best in life
Logical points 👍👍👍
Beautiful.... thank you
Our pleasure!
What are great recommendations on videos like these for children
This is a good content, I love this...
tnx for the idea bro love u
Thank You❤️🙏, will post this at selfhelpchampion under Book Summary
Wonderful!
I'm still struggling to overcome failures that i got... My own thoughts kept me from trying again. Even though i knew i can come back later with a new and possibly better strategy, the thought of failure still scares me 😔
Great video by the way! Instantly subscribed 🙂 keep up the great work!
Welcome to the channel!
Embrace it. Failure is part of success. You can't possibly except yourself to be successful immediately without any failure.Take a look at Astronauts for example they didn't land on moon on their first try. They had to overcome countless obstacles to eventually land on the moon
yeah you are right facing failures such a hard blow to the ego and it takes some time for unexperienced people like me to recover from even the slightest hit to my ego
Good stuff
thx, now i can continue
Number one struggle: Pushing through fear and pain to the big rewards on the other side.
+1
Thank you bro i am improving
I need help with making decisions. I have messed up my 20s not being able to decide in academics, relationship, work and now currently choosing a life partner. Can you make content regarding that? Big fan of your work
Hi Aahnaf. Plent of time to continue developing yourself. It's not abnormal to not have clarity in your early 20's. Alot of our existing videos cover relationships. What are some video titles you would like to see? We will be coming out with paid courses on One Percent Academy to explore the topics you've mentioned if you have interest. See you around!
Aahnaf, you were exploring your options. Don’t frame it like it was a waste of time, even the time you were least productive (too much tv, video games, partying, etc.). Your best years are ahead of you, so take the information you gathered during your twenties and move ahead. Don’t let it become an ingrained pattern/behavior. Focus on being productive in one or two areas of your life everyday.
Great books to keep you motivated:
The Raid Less Traveled
7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Audio lectures:
The Psychology of Winning (Dennis Waitley)
As far as making decisions, ambivalence can be tough.
I'm 34 and I haven't achieved anything of importance in life I'm still single and earn a meager salary and I live with my parents and brothers but I'm educating myself and try to find out what happened that I failed and I'm preparing myself to succeed and at the same time I'm leading a healthy lifestyle
Great Channel.
Glad you enjoy it Rakesh!
Thanks mate 🤘🏻🐺
No problem 👍
It's funny because so much of what you said has been said to me by my mother, grandmother, brother, and many close others. Things like being told "There's always been something special about you" "There isn't any room for failure" "Either you're at the top or what's the point?" "You're leaving me all alone" "Well, they shouldn't be in the road" I'm just realizing it, but it helps put the mirror on what I do as well. Awareness of something is so cool.
The thumbnail is me in bed when i saw this in my recommendations, i feel attacked
They dont let anyone's words affect them.
Indeed
true
I affect 🥛 people with my words. And I love it
Every moment is all that exists & the best time available to do something instead of waiting g or hopi g for something to happen. You are more in control than you realise, create new ideas as we forge forward into the beautiful unknown. The 🌎 is the way it is because you are the way you are & yes you are significantly important you were born already a winner 🏆
Amazing video
Glad!
I’ve been told i was “special” by people and i do like to believe i have unique thinking, unique talents, but i also know i am nothing unusual at all and am not better than anyone; i still want to be different, better in a sense, which i know is flawed; how do i deal with that emotionally - how do i stop my emotions from deceiving me I am “smth else”
I think the only one that answers in the affirmative is “ignore the unchangeables”. These 13 points, although valid and are good strategies for being a mentally strong person, could be answered in the affirmative.
Instead of “Don’t feel sorry”, Be apologetic.
Instead of “Don’t give away power”, keep your power.
Instead of “Don’t fear change”, embrace change.
The simple restructure of these ideals can mean different things. “Do’s” have more power than “Don’ts”.
Does anyone share that same sentiment?
Different strokes for different folks. The don’t statements might trigger a person to think about and analyze their current behavior. “Hmmm, how do I give away my power. When have I done that, how did it make me feel and how did it hold me back?” THEN the process could lead to your suggestion of framing it in the positive. Dennis Waitley said it’s harder to take action on a negative directive if you have to reverse engineer it,
Robin I see what you are saying for sure. How my mind works, I have to think of action, rather than inaction. Do’s rather than don’ts.
Thanks for the response!
I like your points. 👌🏼
I really liked your your tip on managing your anger and giving away the power of your emotions to another person.
I used to get super mad as a teen. I actually mashed up my neighbor's apartment window one night when I was a kid since he thought it was funny to lock me out of the building. The lesson I learned from my dad was that you are giving your own powers to some else. You are letting someone else control you and your actions. Never give away your own choice of action and power.
Love this vid 💯😎🙌🤓🧠📓

do more like this
my mom died shortly after i turned 30 and i only cried once for like 60 seconds and that was it ...i searched on the internet to see how other people coped with this only to find out i didn't experience any of the things they talk about like depression, crying themselves to sleep and this kind of stuff, sure i'm sad but otherwise i'm fine, i don't know if this is being mentally strong or i'm just fucked up in the head....my life situation is kinda messed up right now most people in my shoes would either be really depressed or suicidal but i'm not...i'm not happy but i'm not depressed or devastated either... maybe because i know depression is like a drug and you're not thinking straight if you let it consume you that's why i don't allow myself to be depressed so i can function like a normal person in order to get shit done and reach a happy place in life.. eventually
I struggle with #8 and sometimes #9 too
Regarding dwelling on the past. I once upset a friend as I told him to go away whilst I made a date with a girl - I was self conscious. Later I lost contact with him. For years I would remember this and regret my actions. One day I met him and took the opportunity to apologize. He didn't remember. :)
