People complain about the high price but imo it’s worth it. You just have to drive the car.
The front end of the old generation was always going to be hard to beat, but I feel like they've done a pretty good job here overall. Very nice looking car!
let alone it's not as aggressive as what we had expected but using the same grill, lights and intakes for "entry level" D suv, supercar and S sedan(new leaked quattroporte) isn't a good look for Maserati that we love

They should have left the Ferrari 8 cylinder in it. That alone was worth buying it.
Yes, I think they should offer both options, the new motor is undoubtedly faster than the older v8 was which is what some people wanted

Ferrari wasn’t going to let them put the f154 in this with the Roma existing.
It wasn’t going to happen as Ferrari is ending their partnership with Maserati in 2024.
If you don't like the firmness of the M8 I think you'll be disappointed by the DB12. It's reportedly significantly harsher than the DB11. In order of preference I'd have:
Bentley Continental GT (best in class by a wide margin IMO - unless we include the Spectre, then it's a very slim margin)
Rolls Royce Spectre (if money is truly no object then this sounds like an experience you can't get from any other car)
Maserati Granturismo Folgore (the EV version to throw in a curveball - that should take care of some of the noise at speed)
BMW M850i (much more comfortable than the M8 and matches both the Bentley and the GT trofeo in power)
Aston Martin DB12 (beaufitul but I don't a like harsh ride)
other than AutoTopnl, this guy is by far the best car reviewer in terms of POV driving. I love that he will actually push the car unlike many who baby the car and slightly jab the throttle. Keep doing what you're doing man! I see this channel going far.

They always had the style and the power and handling, now they have the technology ..they have it all! Sure, always room to upgrade, all of the contenders have ups and downs just like this car for sure , but the emotion this car gives just for it's look, it never get's old.
Maserati has improved their reliability a lot over the years
But I’ve seen these things sell for $215k where a used MC20 goes for $220k
I’d rather buy a Camry as a daily and have the MC20 for the weekends

Hey Miles, there are so few Maserati GTs around that the sight of one on the highway gets a lot of attention. Very striking automobile but its playing in a field with some real heavy hitters, and with the V6 the GranTurismo loses some bragging heft around the other big league brands. Thank you, Miles, for your always sharp commentary from the road. 👍👍
I agree that a reworked V8 would have given the GT an extra edge, but I was altogether impressed with the new model's packaging. At $200K, it won't be something I'll be considering personally, but it does give me some optimism for Maserati's future products.

If this Mas had the V-8 and able to do a sub 3 second 0-60 then it would have been a total success.
I'd take the new AM. that interior upgrade was much needed and certainly much much better than the previous gen.
How about the New AMG GT as a competitor? I may take a hard long serious look at that as my selection.

3.9 seconds wasent bad either on the mc stradale. i prefer 4 second cars with great sound as you have plenty power, but not too overpowered where it shifts so fast.

A luxury gt sport car made from Maserati with an excellent engine inside, with an excellent sound from the pipes, with a excellent frame, with an exquisite and inimitable Italian class. What a car! What do you need more?
This thing looks amazing, but ouch, right in the inflation. A bit aspirational, but mistaken imo. I agree with you Miles, especially with how you can customize Aston Martins now. I’d also definitely take the Bentley for the price.
Agree with you, I think they absolutely nailed everything except the price. At that price tier I feel like the majority of the money is going towards the badge and brand and i'm not sure I would pay that much for a Maserati badge. But, to be fair, I don't have that kind of money either so my opinion means nothing.
Lol this thing is going for 330k in Canada, Insane inflation. These cars were like 150k 10 years ago, insane price still but if you worked hard and saved a good amount of money, you could afford one.

I’d take the Mazzer, just to be different from the Bentley/Aston types. Depreciation and costs would be irrelevant given that most of these owners have many other cars and very deep pockets

Still would rather have physical climate controls. They could have integrated the clock feature on the top screen. Otherwise it’s a beauty.

go for base 992 Carrera with some good options and you save 80.000 for a holiday or two, and lots on maintenance...and the fun will be the same (as long as you travel with max 2)

Beautiful car, but the old one was better solely because of the engine, that 4.7L Ferrari V8 was just the perfect engine for a GT car, this new V6 is really good, but it will never replace the symphony of sounds that old V8 made, that was just a great engine. The second issue is the 200k price tag, in 5-6 years you'll be able to get one of these under 50k, they depreciate faster than properly any other car on the road.

Please lower the speaking volume, while driving we want to listen the engine.
And when we increase the volume to listen the engine, the speaking gets too louder.
I love it, but its about 20-30k over priced.
For the money you could get a Gtc4 V12
Its literally the grecale but a coupe, nothing changed. Great job Maserati for making the same thing almost!

Maserati price themselves out of competiion as always, this car should stard around 140. There are just way too many better cars at 200.
Last gen is better with the V8 sound.
