What year were you born?!?! None of these bands in the remotest way are post hardcore, not post anything, maybe post masculine. Post hardcore really hasn’t been a thing or should I say have a scene since at the absolute latest 2005 and even that’s pushing it. Yes of course they’re outliers and you’ll get a throwback band that has some heavy influence of that genre, for example Violent Soho is a great example. You can hear influences such as HUM, Sunnyday Realestate, my Bloody Valentine, Nirvana, Fugazi, and other bands of that ilk of late 80’s early 90’s “post hardcore”. Loud, drone, lots of distortion and modulation pedals playing through Marshall JCM800 or Plexi full stacks dimed out ergo maki g them insanely loud. Loud recordings, loud live gigs, loud loud loud!!!!!!
i know it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but how is any of this post-hardcore? i can't say for definite what it is (i'd feel inclined to say metalcore) but I can say this definitely isn't post-hardcore. post-hardcore is; at the drive in, these arms are snakes, planes mistaken for stars etc.- that whole creative punk/post-punk thing. why does this genre get so poorly misrepresented everywhere?!

I’m pretty sure if you told Fugazi, refused, pg.99, nirvana, baroness, or even Jesu, they would laugh at this silliness. Why do millennials think they can change words and truths around to fit their liking or agenda, or complete misunderstanding and ignorance of certain topics. That would be like me, a Gen X’er calling LED Zeppelin a rockabilly band just because they have a few traditional 50’s rock and even jump blues parts in a few of their songs. Or calling the Allman brothers a soul band because they use B3 organs and have a black drummer, yes it’s literally that stupid!!!!!
