Hey there what did you not like about the F5....I have never used one but heard they were a pretty decent machine. The Vaquero is a very good machine, but alot of people don't like the fact that it does not have a screen. It does go deep and the build quality is great. It is very sensitive to shallow objects, what kind of detecting do you do ? Relics or parks or beaches or do you do a little of everything
I hear you but I don't think it did much....Also it was done indoors so its just a short test. I really doesnt show real world in the dirt test. I did dig a fugio cent with the 5" wide scan coil in 8" of dirt in a trashy area near a cellar hole....This detector rocks
Well, I am about to purchase the Fisher F5 as a gift for my uncle. This is going to be his first metal detector and I just want to get the right tool for the money. I wanted to for for the Vaquero yesterday, it may be slightly better, but that purple...On the other hand, Whites MXT Pro seems nice and professionally looking, but its a bit expensive.
Update from all them years ago modern detectors still struggle to beat this little detector the vaquero,shame they stopped making them , people prefer unreliable I'd numbers nowadays lol
When your done testing them you're just laying them down practically in the target area for the metal detector. Causing interference with the new stuff your bringing out to test.

Kinda. I got the Cibola because we have mild soil. I liked it on the soccer fields. I am getting an AT pro next week
