Thanks for this video, Jason. I had thought I already knew all about Stomp mode on the Helix, but this is so comprehensive that I realize, after watching, how little I knew. Yours is the Masterclass and should be part of the "required watching" list for anyone using the Helix. For me, this is a gem. It's brilliant! Thanks for doing this. Appreciate it.

Thanks Jason, this is so helpful, to be able to use snapshots and stomp box mode at the same time is awesome.

Great job, Jason. I've watched tons of your videos in anticipation of getting my Helix LT. I started with GuitarPort -> POD -> Vetta -> PODX3Live -> Helix LT. The Helix LT came yesterday and I must say the tones seem at least 10x as "refined/realistic" as in previous Line6 offerings. It's really bliss. It's a testament to the OS that I was immediately editing tones in HX Edit without any learning curve. I'm sure part of that was due to watching your videos and having a foundational course, so to say.
At any rate, thanks again, Jason. You're a natural at this and your enthusiasm shows.

Recently because I don't like distortion or overdrive pedals but instead prefer amp gain/distortion I setup a footswitch to change from one drive/gain setting to another and it's working great. It keeps the basic tone intact and just gives you more of what you want. I also love Jason's trick to setup the expression pedal to auto engage the wah. Thanks Jason for such a wonderful channel!

Wow… While I had an appreciation of the different modes, this video crystallized it for me. Thanks for this

Hello Jason, your video instructions on the Helix are much appreciated. Could you do a short video on the way you set your volume knob at home, in studio and live situations?

At home I’d set the volume knob to “multi” in the global settings so u can control it to taste when your at home and set it to “digital” to send full signal to front of house through the XLR outputs also I’d set XLR outputs to “Mic” so that u send them mic levels.

I had no idea about editing the text of a stomp box assignment. I have an LT, which doesn't have the little screens about each footswitch. Which made me wonder, what text am I actually editing? because it doesn't change the name of the block. But then I discovered when you press the home button it shows it on the screen! this is very handy as now anyone can use my helix and know what each stomp does without having to memorize it.

This is how I use my Helix. I’m able to set up what becomes essentially a 3 channel amp this way. Two of my buttons on the floorboard are set up to switch to a different preset. The rest of the buttons are set up for all my effects for each preset…so it’s 3 channels of amps and effects at my feet. Not all of my blocks need to be on my Helix control. My compressor for example is always on so I don’t assign it anywhere. A typical set up for me is is the Revv Purple as my main amp, with the Revv Red as my hotter channel assigned to button 1. Then say a Fender clean assigned to the button beneath that one. So I can jump between these 3 channels and back, each with their individual pedals as needed. It’s great.

Your videos are great. Could you please show us exactly how you run your helix in live, studio setup. Do you use amps or direct. Your sound is great even over the phone. I know about stomp and snapshot but it sound like yours. I'm using my marshall effects loop. Do tubes make a difference. HELP. Thanks

Thanks for this clip Jason! In particular the point of having 2 settings for the amp with different Drive levels etc. I am still struggling with the Snapshot mode. It seemed that the latest firmware overwrote most of my patches that had snapshots and I haven't been able to recreate them. Any chance that you could do a similar in depth look at snapshots? THanks for the clarity that you bring to fellow Helix Users! 🙂

Hi Jason, thanks for the videos. In stompbox mode it's possible to set individual footswitches to be snapshots. That way you can have a combination of both. After the latest firmware update it doesn't seem as simple to setup as it used to be. If you have a moment can you have a look at this feature and advise please 🙏

Hey Jason, great video! Wonder if you could tell me how the "boost stomp is assigned and how to control the amount of boost?
I have a purchased preset and use snapshots, but feel the need to add the boost stomp that is already there but defaults to off. So for a build, final chorus or bridge I may want to add this boost, but is presently way too loud. All other snaps n stomps are good. Can you help?

Thanks for this video. I haven't tried some of these features yet! Assigning parameters to footswitches sounds like an alternate way to create a snapshot. I've read the complaint that sometimes when switching snapshots, the Helix creates a "pop" sound due to the order in which parameters change. Would the method of assigning foot switches that you demonstrated create that same "pop" sound or could you change the order of the parameter changes to avoid the "pop"?

Been trying to figure out how to switch from clean to dirty on amp models…
Also is there a way to use a Whammy like you would with the pedal?

in the right click I cannot understand what does mean "Snapshot bypass". I see no difference with or without tick...
