When the best thing you can say about some food, is the way it looks, you know there's something wrong. It's also kinda funny how he talks about them putting food items in a box, like they invented fire or something.
Jack I want you to know you always cheer me up with your happiness. You always look and sound so happy, and make cooking look fun. I pray for your health and your family to be safe, God bless
WashingMachineKiller Untill you try to cancel your subscription, they kept charging us and sending boxes when we cancelled as instructed by their customer service. Veggies are often bruised when delivered.
Hi Jack I just want to say thanks for posting your recipes HERE on the video description......many other channels have you leave UA-cam to another site for the recipe.
How was the basmati rice? I find Basmati and Jasmine preferable to the long grain stuff that is sold in stores. Looks like the rice is probably rinsed before packaging too, which removes a step, which is a plus. Looks good.
I went to the HelloFresh.com website and while they do deliver in my area, I have two problems with them, the first is that since I'm a Type 2 Diabetic doing Carb counting, so I had to check out their nutrition list and found a lot of their recipes high( 70 and over) in Carbs. Then on the Pronto package, 2 people 3 meals, the price in my area is almost $80.00 CDN. Being on a Disability Pension of $ 1,000 CDN a month put this service out of my price range. They may be just what some people need, but it doesn't fit my budget. Great recipes though, Thanks Jack.
Charles Damery save yourself the trouble. It's nothing special, low quality products and their customer service is a pain in the rear, they kept sending us boxes when we cancelled the subscription and they wouldn't take them back. We did everything according to their book and they don't care.
I took a 1-year cooking course about 23 years at Vancouver Community College in Vancouver, B.C. and learned how cooking for restaurant trade, but since becoming a Diabetic I can't be in a commercial kitchen and I've taken that knowledge to change recipes for myself like cutting way back on salt and fat. So I've survived pretty well.
Great vid. Tried Hello Fresh last year, found their recipes simplistic and meals horrifically expensive (~$11/meal/person). If you don't know how to look up recipes online, are frightened of the supermarket and don't mind a 500% markup, this might be for you.
flashhog01 They screwed us over when we tried to cancel our subscription, we met the requirements to cancel it but they kept sending boxes and not taking them back. Vegies were bruised and half rotten more often than not. Terribly expensive for a terrible box.
maxlaam, I agree, cancelling my subscription to their service was not an easy experience. With the meals I did receive the food was all in good condition. Yes, a luxury service for those who have the resources or for those pretending they are too busy to shop.
Hello Fresh screwed me over. They kept sending boxes even when we cancelled our subscription and we met the requirements to cancel the subscription. Not to mention the piss poor quality of some of the products. Fresh? Not even close! Ingredients were missing too in the boxes. Customer service did nothing with the complaints. Hello Fresh is a terrible overpriced subscription box. Save yourself the pain and never think about trying it.
The reason the oil disappears I believe is because it resides under the chorizo slices, but when you spin the pan the oil moves. Don't quote me on it though I'm just guessing lol
We've tried Green Chef and Blue Apron. I was impressed with the quality of ingredients but not the recipes. They were weird. I think they would be better off getting some more traditional recipes. I noticed Green Chef always seemed to have some seasoning blend so you couldn't make it again yourself. Also, a huge part of the cost has to be packaging and shipping. I think these food shipping places would be better off having the customers provide some ingredients. We can get out own chicken breasts, onions, and canned tomatoes. They could provide the stuff that would be hard to find or impractical to buy.
Raw Spice Bar might be something you would be interested in, they just send monthly spice mixes and recipes. It's $7 month. It's a good way to mix it up in the kitchen and try different things. Each month is themed with a specific culture in mind. I did it for awhile and it was fun - a little pricey for "just 3 spices" but it's worth it for the experience if you want to try new recipes.
hey Jack I'm a a huge fan and I want to know if we can talk I'm moving to Tennessee over the summer I hop we can meet whinnies get there and my birthday is on July 20

What is the cost of each individual meal?
way too much
nice mister. greeting from argentina
try ceviche
Looks close to the spanish dish paella, being rice based with veiggies etc. the prized part is the crisp rice called sucarate.
Are you coming to New York?
not yet but that will be an east coast tour that I'm also wanting to do. First the southern states.
Great personality and energy Jack. Love your videos!
buena pinta
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jack our Wal Mart in our area (89048) does not carry your products is there another way to purchase them?.
his sauces are being sold online at thebestsauces.com
Thank You!
Twas a poblano pepper sir
Jack how's the new knife
it's okay. Wasn't very sharp coming out of the box. But we shall see. No problems yet. I will sharpen again to see how it does.
It looked like things were sticking to it in the prep phase, I thought the whole point of the knife was for that to be impossible?

i was wondering are hello fresh paying u anything towards this upload?
That’s a insult to Spanish food
Funny how lots of u American youtube cooks refer to meat and fish as "protein" (which they certainly are) but I find it a bit weird.
I only said that is because they say that on the list of items in box
