Have you tried to calibrate the temperature of the display? The instructions are in chinise only, so no help here. In my 967 there's not a click tipe button, but a trimmer, and it works not as a calibrating device, as the difference I get between the display and a Hakko 191 is about 50ºC no matter the position of the trimmer.
Chinese switched to using the same plugs as Australia and New Zealand about 10 years ago. The Chinese install the plugs with the earth pin at the top while the Australian standard has them at the bottom.
How does the 967 perform compared to the 936? Which one would you say is better for soldering? I'm about to buy a soldering station, and I'm deciding between the 936 and 967, but not so many reviews to find on the 967...
