    Dr what do you recommend for those have only MSc and the labs they work at have poor equipment?

      That’s (poor/no labs) a very typical problem in a lot of universities. The best thing you can do is to work on computational stuff and master it. Especially nowadays that the computational power is less expensive, and AI/ML is becoming key, you can find a lot of online courses to get educated. Then you need to find the problem… that’s not always easy. Even if you were starting a PhD, your qualification would be the same with that of an MSc. So, don’t worry about that!

    😅 I am seeking for research funding for antibiotic resistance study... is different than a postdoc?

    • @KDT_research
      @KDT_research  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Assia. A post-doc and a fellowship are eventually the same thing, however when we refer to fellowship, we mean that the researcher has applied him/herself for funding. The application must have a project, but the panel is mainly evaluating the applicant's CV and how much s/he fits for the proposal (whether s/he will manage it and how will grow through that). On the contrary, a professor may advertise a post-doctoral position in which research can just apply for it (alike one applies to get a job). If the researcher's background matches the available open position, then s/he may be successful. So, in the former case (fellowship) it is an open competition with other applicants and other projects. While, in the latter case, researchers are bidding for a specific job (post-doc). Hope this helps. KDT

    Who is qualified to apply for a grant?

    • @KDT_research
      @KDT_research  2 місяці тому

      Depends on the funder and the call, but most of these are for university researchers on an contract or permanent and some are for researchers working in institutions and companies. Every grant/call has eligibility criteria. Please check these very carefully so don’t waste your time… best wishes, KDT

      @KDT_research  Рік тому

      Hi Eritrean. Thanks for the question. It looks like that you are looking for research related to Business School. I’m
      in Engineering school. I would look for interest groups in #facebook and #reddit. They seem to be the most responsive and with lots of people that actually help. When it comes to funding, you need to see what is available in your country. Why don’t you speak to a Business school professor in your area? That could help loads. Best wishes, KDT

      Of course, there is plenty of them: www.psgcas.ac.in/documents/library/funding_agencies.pdf as well as many UK-India funding especially comes from the British Council and the Royal Society. Have a look at it.

    • @KDT_research
      @KDT_research  2 роки тому

      To get money from research grants… too optimistic. Even the universities are on deficit at the end of every project. Research grants support research and researchers. No money is generated.

    • @classicalgreekintroductory6045
      @classicalgreekintroductory6045 2 роки тому

      Yes, but you could have included at least a few practical advises on how to actually write a competitive grant proposal. What to include, what to leave out. There were none.
