Great video Jon. Pleased to see you didn't forget your landing net handle cos the one you borrowed in the video i watched recently was like a piece of liquorish.
Ha ha that banana handle I borrowed is still in my garage somewhere... growing beans perhaps?
Well done Jon great effort on a wet n windy day
Thanks for watching 👍
“Liquid sunshine!” I like that. I shall work it into conversation.
I got married in Jamaica, which is where I got it from!
Well-done Jon I can't wait to get back down to white acres although I might wait until the summer lol I prefer blues sky's to liquid sunshine 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely!
Class as always lad.
Glad you enjoyed it Sam
Well done Jon 👌
Thanks Jak!

Lovely day on the bank!....Well done Jon :)
Thanks 👍 It was kind of 'lovely'!
Congrats Jon,cracking catch crappy weather but its not too bad if your bagging up😁
Absolutely!
Well done Jon .
Cheers Peter
What lovely weather. I know you've had some practice with sideways rain in Bristol Jon, so white acres was a breeze.... pun intended. You did extremely well considering the conditions, the wind moving the rig must have been horrendous for presentation. Good job Jon.
Thanks John, yep good training thanks to Bristol! :-)
It’s a cracking vid from the Wet Leg Dead Red AC.
Doesn’t look like you’re going to turn into a fair weather angler any time soon.
Cheers 👍🍺🍌🌂
Erm just looked out the window and it's ice breaking next! :-)
Sounds bloody cold
It was! Thanks for watching 👍
Well done John dedication for ya hard going in that weather bet you sleep well tonight
I was asleep within an hour of hitting the sofa in our lodge!
well fished Top Rod
Thanks CC!
Great show of commitment in harsh conditions Jon.well done mate.can you tell me what purpose does zip on base of ethos pro stiff rod bag serves.?Best wishes
Hi Paul, think I might have answered this elsewhere already but I think it's purely for transportation and to make it more compact in transit as it would take too much valuable storage space up in a container
Hello Jon, well done in hard conditions. Just 1 question, at 11:30mins what is the round bit of plastic halfway down your top kit used for ? Thank you
Jason
Usually if your fishing in shallow swims its to hook your rig onto so your not stretching your elastic and rig out too much as the constant pressure on your rig isn't good hope this helps
@@scottandrewjohnmiddleton8676 thanks mate , new to pole fishing so any help is appreciated. So it's not used while fishing, and instead of hooking your rig to the bottom of the top kit ?
Hi Jay it's a Preston hook up as Scott kindly explains. Its kinder to the elastic if you use them.
You deserve a medal for fishing in that but at least you caught the fish better than sitting there for 5hrs for a couple of pound 😅
Cheers Ray!
Informative thanks. Why didn't you fish the feeder?
It's a float-only competition
@@JonArthur lol good answer
John want any coaching on netting fish 😮🤣🤣👍 Top angler needs practice your landing nets always look 👀 on the small side 🤣🤣
On this lake the fish strangely pull like demons and never give up, not sure why they fight so much harder in Twin Oaks than the other WA lakes? Plus you are sat back in a little bay with a shallow, clear and rocky bottom in front, which makes it even harder to get the fish near or pull your top kit to one side. Plus the wind and rain definitely wasn't helping and it's easy to pull out of fish in that wind if you're not careful. Landing net will easily swallow up a 10lber and swaddles them better than a larger one which they can thrash around too much in and snap hooklengths off.
I don't mind "hoodie" anglers when it's raining. .. but when the sky turns blue & the sun shines, I phone the cops and Anglers Licence Bailiffs if a dodgy angler keeps being a "hoodie" 😨😨
Erm... ok :-)
@@JonArthur I'm joking buddy whipper snapper Jon 😂 lol
One place iv never bothered fishing white acres two far and i carnt see point in driving from sheffield and passing way better fisheries to go there
Ok
Great stuff Jon. Them F1s fought like demons. Liked 2 short lines with a simple maggot and gb approach, made sense in them wild conditions. Can you send me idiot proof instructions on how to register for your premium channel please. 😊😊❤
They definitely fight harder in that lake than all the others. Not sure why? But it's also awkward being sat back in a little bay as the fish wont come near enough. Boss video Jon! That’s towards your maggots for the day 😅 👍 first time I’ve tipped a UA-cam video this but it’s so good to watch
Gaz that is so so kind of you and I'm really glad you enjoyed the film. I had 30 mins to spare and drove all the way back to the lodge to get my cameras and really glad I did, despite the weather. It's days like these that make you appreciate the good weather! Once again many many thanks!
