Why does mario kill things by jumping on there head,if mario was real and someone saod Mario's strong,I would say he is not mario is just stepping on things that cant fight back for the most part, like the turtles and the goombas and a hole lot of other stuffs(how late is to late to say yeetus to the feedus)
2:14 Shoutouts to levels that actually show off the contraptions they use, ever since Nintendo removed downloading levels I've played levels that were actually sick but were also a complete mystery for the rest of time
So for anyone who doesn’t understand why the contraption works: In the night ground theme, the 1-UP Mushrooms change into the poison ones which follow you. But when you grab a star, it tries to run away from you. Taking this mechanic, the level maker made a contraption and a level based off of that.
Taking advantage of the fact that the poison mushroom hates the star. Also, while making my 6-1 SMB 35 level (and inaccurately because of 2 ? blocks), I realized that the poison mushroom replaces the 1-up mushroom.
Anyone else think this level is actually kinda poorly made? As obvious as the gimmick is, the first room gives you no time to actually learn how the rules work: if you get a star then you have to kill yourself to restart, assuming you don't die anyways. The rooms themselves lack creativity, with most of them having the same gimmick: stars constantly spawning from pipes in the ceiling. The ones that don't have that gimmick tend to blindside the player with basically no time to react (the rooms at 0:58 and 1:51). The fact that every room is designed at the bottom of the map is further proof of this. Could they not think of any other way to punish the player other than dropping them into a pit? Also pretty bad is the checkpoint room at 1:18, where there's nothing stopping a careless player from walking into the next room while in Starman mode. I'm sure someone has said to the first point "Well it says not to get a Star in the title so obviously people would know not to get a star!" And as a result, they player should be fine walking through the door while they're likely in Starman mode, right? After all, they haven't grabbed the star in the next room yet, so why should they be punished for something they haven't done? Except they will be because of how the level's gimmick works, likely resulting in yet another cheap death. The way they show how the gimmick works is also not done well either in my eyes. Having that whole section being automated gives zero emphasis on the gimmick itself and thus doesn't really help give the player any sense of how it actually works. Not helped is the fact the mechanism to help create the gimmick is visible in every room so if (or likely when) the player has died at any point they can see exactly how it works anyways. I like the gimmick but the person who made this has no sense of level design at all.
It appears the SMM2 community is running out of original ideas. This has already been used a few times before :p I guess with so many people online in it nowadays there's only so many things you can do before it gets shot down as "stolen content"
Level ID: LS3-4P3-YNG by Jose1239

Thanks! I got really confused because I thought it will be entity limit but then the pipes and stuff
Ya I know!
Poison shroom: SCREECH! I vill run away from superstar Mario!
Alright not gonna lie. That is a pretty good mechanic. I want to create a level base off it now.
@@shadowfangxd5199 Me too
It's always nice when the level creators show how a level works after the player reaches the end of the level.
It is nice, but someone can copy the level and say: "It is my idea, I was the first
0:58 when there's a lot of People and you're trying to avoid them
I like how this maker introduces the contraptions they used, I was always puzzled by those that don't
You actually collected a star.
He had to tho
The level forces
Mumbo Jumbo: The redstone is easy
The redstone:
so that redstone is actually easy
How yeah this makes a lot of sence because poison mushrooms run away from you when your in invincible
I see inspiration from Punkerdude's Don't Reach for the Stars level, previously featured on this channel
Mario: collects star
Mario: dies
Mario: A small price to pay for salvation.
Level: Don't get star!
Mario: *1:09*
Level: 🗿
This is a workaround of an Action condition.
0:43 close to fall
This video ends in 180 seconds!
Fails = 1; because you just touched a superstar for first time, but you're a true careless player!
0:11 opps
I'm guessing as a side effect, the poison mushroom will run away from you if you use a star.
Its a cool mechanic, it runs because it will die if you touch it with a star.
That one tas speedrunner: Hmph...
Poison stars!
At 1:10 Super Mario gets a Star but he does Not die!😲
Nice video Nice level Nice channel
Cool
Nintendo should make more clear conditions like this.
Clear condition:you'll get a star
cool idea
I like the fake part where you get a star but you don’t die
Also I like the ending
Who can believe BeardBear STAR-ted off by getting a star?
Taking advantage of the fact that the poison mushroom hates the star. Also, while making my 6-1 SMB 35 level (and inaccurately because of 2 ? blocks), I realized that the poison mushroom replaces the 1-up mushroom.
-1:50 Why it’s can get the star ⭐️
Instead of trying to get the stars you must avoid the stars
How does the poison mushroom only move if you get a star?
Nornally, the Poison Mushroom would go towards Mario. But when Mario grabs a Super Star, the Poison Mushroom will run away from him.
Clear Condition Failed. You collected 3 stars.
Alternative Title: Super Mario Maker 2 but Stars wants to kill me
Haven’t you already uploaded a video of a level exactly like this?
Yes he did, it was "Don't Reach for the Stars" by Punkerdude
Woa

This person copied off of my level. Beardbear even made a video on mine a few months before this one. Is mine, the original, better? X2M-MF7-QQG
