Wow, picking up drawing after a 50 yr. haitis and I find myself drawing smaller drawings that seem lost in the page. I drew something larger last night after a nagging feeling I might be teaching myself bad habits. You are so point on, lol. The muscle memory tip and exercises just only make sense. I will definitely be doing them. My biggest takeaway though, the gesture drawing. No pressure, you don't expect it to be good in fact you almost expect it to be bad. The only thing left is fun while I learn. Why not right?

I'm the same, I've been drawing for nearly a year now , and im having trouble drawing things in my head and the creativity too, Idk what to do either but I guess it probably takes time before Any artist can do that, saying that I'm not really good at drawing either even though it's been like a year,

Practice with fruit or a banana. Start with pictures. Memorize how it looks just like math or wtiting cursive.
