This song was the primary reason why I bought Evanescence' "Fallen" album.
It's a rare occurrence for a Cover to be as good as, and even more so better than the original. One such cover being Jimi Hendrix's version of "All Along the Watchtower". THIS cover ranks up there as well. And Amy Lee's voice is VERY difficult to cover, given the almost operatic style of Evanescence' music, especially in "My Immortal". Excellent performance.

Usually I don‘t like Evanescence covers, because Amy‘s voice is so special to me and no cover could ever do her justice... but I totally accept that this one took my breath away. I don‘t know what to say! And I really love the rain in the background💧
Agreed. She did an amazing job. I'd also highly recommend Caleb Hyles's cover.. that man has an incredible voice, especially towards the big notes at the end.

@@RaptaFace the thing about Evanescence is that Amy's voice and operatic vocal styling is incredibly difficult to cover. I remember watching 2 people try to cover "Bring Me To Life" on a tv show and both bombed. That's why I consider THIS to be one of those rare covers that either does the original justice like Heart's cover of "Stairway to Heaven", or outshines the original like Hendrix's version of "All Along the Watchtower".

Spectre Studio, it’s not difficult to outshine the original of “All Along The Watchtower” because the original is a pile of crap, I’ve never understood the appeal of Bob Dylan. Sure there are a couple of great song that he’s done, mostly though I think he’s highly overrated

This brought tears to my eyes. This song always reminds me of when my brother James passed away nearly 18 years ago, me and my mom found him lifeless. She would always break down crying so hard listening to this song. His death was very painful and tragic for us, I miss you big brother. Please watch over us, I love you. Rest in peace James Christopher Johnson.

I don't know Evanescence but this song absolutely tore at my heart. I think Malukah's voice just gets stronger and richer as time goes on. Her voice is golden!! I have tried to play the piano and sing (certainly not a memorized song!) and it's one of the hardest things I've ever tried! And to do it so magnificently. Thank you for posting this song!

I couldn't put my finger on why this video felt so wrong but now I've got it. In the past, Malu's videos have shown her (and others) playing all the parts to a song with a picture-in-picture mosaic. This is a more traditional "singing a song at the piano" music video.
Enya never plays live for the exact same reason that Malu's videos are usually mosaics - she sings ALL the parts.

The most beautiful singing voice I have ever heard. I work as a foreman for a concrete construction crew. One of the most physically tough and demanding jobs I can think of. I am big, burly, and tough. Other men look away when I walk by. The other day I was sitting in my work truck, taking a small break, listening to you sing. It helps to calm me down. A couple of my crew snuck up and caught me, laid back, eyes closed, big smile on my face. Now they make fun of me because I was listening to such , "Girly" music. I don't care though. I listen to you sing every day.

i used to listen to evanescence 12 years ago, when i had the had the hardest time of my life, and the songs from fallen still mean a lot to me, especially my immortal and hello. normally i hate covers of those songs, but i loved your version. you are such a warm, kind and sweet person and that means as much to me as your haunting, goddess-like voice.

This is one of those songs that I thought people needn't waste their time covering because the original was so perfect but my goodness you made me cry, I get emotional from the original but this is something else entirely.
