Some days you are the bug and some days you are the windshield. The shot you took on the first day was awesome in my opinion. Thanks for the inspiration.

Adam, I know how you bang on about printing. You're absolutely right to, though dragging a printer up a hill was just a bit mad. But, I wish to point something out that struck me only when I saw your print come off that printer - I did not like that image on screen, I didn't like its colour, its feel, its relative lack of contrast. And then it appeared on paper (well, obviously not on paper here where I am) and instantly, it looked different, slightly less crisp, better contrast and a most excellent image. This might be to do with print profiles, paper texture or it might just be the presentation that's come via another camera to my screen rather than just a rendered image from your video editing software. Whatever, it's a completely different image. Printing has the ability to change images as much as altering a crop has.

OMG those conditions looked brutal as you photographed the "S" curve, but still you managed a cracking composition and final image from your shoot. I empathised massively with you when you looked at the camera and said "This is not good" absolute belter that one. Where is that if you don't mind me asking. We have a few minor hills in Lincolnshire but nothing like that. Keep 'em coming

Fantastic video Adam, your energy always gives me a boost! The image from day 1 was absolutely beautiful! When you first revealed the landscape through video (not the still), I immediately began to get excited almost as if I was there and had discovered it myself. That feeling, that intuition that draws us to make a photograph, I had begun imagining how I might compose that.

What a great video Adam. I share your daughter's enthusiasm for the picture of the S-curving valley, although my narration of the shot is likely very different from hers or nearly everyone else's. I was reminded of the late 1980's, flying below the rim of the valley, doing a low-level ingress in a C-130 to a drop zone where we were inserting a recon team. That is a truly superb image. Thanks for the brief trip down memory lane.

I’m taking the plunge into medium format next week (X2D), and haven’t been this excited about a piece of gear since I bought my first big zoom many years ago. That was a lovely video to watch Adam! and that first picture with the S curve wow! (Hogarths Lines) that was just wonderful. Its amazing how much wind can can ruin what should have been a sharp picture even with a state of the art tripod which sometimes can make it worse......Thank you, I enjoyed that, after looking at your sunrise there is no need for me to go out, I will sleep on that one! Hi Adam I've been recently diagnosed with eyesight glycoma issues, I remember your video on your eyesight issues and was wondering how you are and if you had any advice on how you've coped and any gear etc you may have looked at that may help us going forward. Much apreciated Den.

Sorry to hear that Dennis. My tactics up to now are concentrating on eating healthy, limiting screen time and protecting from high levels of UV (ie wearing sunglasses when its very bright). It actually hasn't deteriorated as fast as they initially thought. Apparently my case is very unusual, which might actually help me get faster access to new treatments eg stem cells.

When I saw the first few seconds and all that flat land, I though, "Yay... Adam is going to make a good image from a boring flat environment!" (i.e., like where I live LOL -- misery loves company and all that whinging). Then I saw the really interesting S-curved valley with the trees -- Drat! 😀 But seriously, that's a visually interesting scene. I usually (...usually...) don't have to deal with your kind of wind, but I'd kill for that valley view. Great video as usual!

Hey Adam, thanks for this new video. Just wondering, on the first image (the s-curve valley shot) where did all the sheep go we saw in the video ? I thought they would have made a nice element in that shot or did you consciously avoided them ? and if so, why ? cheers ! Richard

Hey Adam... Canada here. I love your 1st photograph. Super simple. Very nice. I laughed when you said that it was really cold there, -1 . . . In my area, Ottawa Canada, a really cold day is when it's colder than -20. -1 here in February is called a heatwave. Anyhow... Thanks for the video.
