You might want to check out the floating one I made, I find it easier to deal with than the bucket one. It just follows you around concentrating the material as you suck up the material. Here is the link for how I made it and one for me testing it out:

I’m working with bucket head wet/dry vacuum as a dredge. I’m trying to make it a fluid bed as well! Awesome!

The bucket head from HD fits or snaps to any 5 gallon bucket. My idea is to use your funnel idea to seal for vacuum, and funnel into 2 Tupperware bowl with moss to create a fluid bed. Of course holes drilled in the side to 2-3 inches from the bottom of the 5 gallon bucket as a 3 bed chamber. Might need a large rubber gasket or o ring on top of the funnel. We shall see
